What Will MAGA Look Like Post-Donald Trump?
AMP America ^ | 04/29/2024 | Tim Sharp

If you have spent any amount of time online as a Trump supporter, you have certainly seen the rhetoric. Both liberals and the DeSantis crew like to call MAGA a cult and seem excited at the thought of Donald Trump’s demise. They long for the days of a pre-Trump Republican party.

The reality is that while Trump is the current figurehead of the movement, it was birthed under Ron Paul. Ron Paul took fringe conversations such as no foreign wars and sound economics onto the main stage. Donald Trump then took many of these same conversations from the main stage to the mainstream. Republicans have historically had an insatiable lust for war. Donald Trump simply found it more effective to obtain peace by leading through a position of strength.

No new wars were started during Trump’s term in office.

Biden’s term has been the opposite of Trump’s in regard to American intervention in foreign conflict. Most things that the liberal mafia said would happen under Trump have since manifested under Joe Biden. Having deep connections with many in MAGA world, I understand the mentality of MAGA. Regardless of what the left and woke right would tell you, MAGA isn’t about Donald Trump. MAGA is simply the modern rebirth of populism and American sovereignty.

Donald Trump is just the current face of the movement, and MAGA will outlive Donald Trump by generations.

If I remember right, the Tea Party got splintered, and it wasn’t all by accident either. Once it rose to news-worthy prominence, there were a lot of people who wanted in on it. I think Glen Beck was one of the ones trying to insert himself. But there were leftist powers that moved in on the Tea Party movement because they actually wanted them to grow before the election and take votes away from republicans, so there were republicans calling for the Tea Party to become “conservative”. Thus splintered, and after being useful to various groups, discarded.

I don’t see anyone with the Charisma anywhere close to Trump to move in and fill the vacuum that Trump leaves whenever that happens (if democrats have their way, soon). I liked how DeSantis ran Florida but he does NOT have charisma.
I would root for Jim Jordan, but while he can take over a conversation with some authority in a wonky way (masculine, not pencil neck), he doesn’t seem like the type of guy that takes over a room like Trump does.

This is why I think democrats want Trump out of the way ASAP. They know, there is no one in the wings who can be ... well.... Trump

There might be more truth about your statement than 10’s of millions of people realize, least of all politicians as we are the antithesis to their existence. Honestly it is not about what Trump does the next four years as much as it is this movement going forward while we’re still alive.

I absolutely despise the GOPe more than I do the dem commies who like bears crap in the woods because that is what they do as it is not their fault. ‘Republicans’ have held their hands every step of the way and put us collectively in debt for generations as we are witnessing our country ready to collapse under it’s own weight, particularly debt and the Bill of Rights of which the collective government enabled and conspired to get us to this point.

There is no such thing as a Democrat who puts America first.

MAGA will die out and give to another name for conservative ideology.

In American, things come and go. The pendulum if Trump wins in 2024 will swing FAR left after he’s gone. It’s how it is.

Trump is irreplaceable in the same way that Rush Limbaugh is irreplaceable.

If Rush Limbaugh were still alive, I don't believe that traitorous House bill giving zillions to Ukraine would ever have passed. They tried something similar with an amnesty bill 10 or so years ago. He had Mark Rubio on, who was in favor of amnesty, and he asked him why the amnesty always comes first but then the wall that was promised never gets built. Rubio didn't have an answer. After Rubio was off the air, Rush told his listeners to ring their congressmen and the next day the bill was abandoned. I don't see anyone on radio ever having that power again. If we ever get another Rush, it won't be on radio.

Ditto for Trump. I don't see anyone with the courage to lead MAGA as Trump has. They will literally be putting their freedom on the line since they will be attacked with lawfare and will be universally hated and lied about by the Lamestream media.

“Trump is an America First nationalist.”

So is Ron Paul, read #14.“

Ron Paul? No

People like to take politicians and imagine personalities and characteristics for them. Suburban women do this. I know them. They play Barbie/ken

Trump does not comply with their silliness. He won’t listen to them. He is not going to change for them. They hate that

But no one changes for them. Most will pretend they care but don’t. Ron Paul is not a leader like Trump. He thinks and talks differently than the rest but he is one of them

What Trump is going to do is get rid of tge swamp creatures, their power. He is going to set up maga and fix it so the swamp is history.

People don’t imagine this and so they claim that it won’t happen

This is not the tea party it maybe absorbed the tea party

Don’t mistake Biden’s being in charge of this disaster with Trump failing. Trump doesn’t fail

The swamp Creatures know better than the people on this forum how permanently Trump’s win in November will change the future. It’s why they desperately drag him into a kangaroo court

Rand Paul is not like Trump

“ I don’t see anyone on radio ever having that power”

Then you’re not paying attention.

Like with Trump, rushs power came from the people who want their country back from the swamp. Rush didn’t even get that. Rush was a Ted Cruz supporter. When Trump started pulling ahead, Rush was stupefied. Rush was GOP

Like all extreme libertarians, Ron Paul’s positions only sound good on paper. He wants to stop foreign wars but also wants to significantly reduce our military’s offensive capabilities. All well and good if we live in a world without the CCP or the Iranian mullahs. Not good if China is allowed to continue using the free trade grift (which Ron Paul supports) to finance its military expansion and imperial ambitions.

Ron Paul’s promises are similar to the promises of the left when they insist they can tax and spend, and also create economic growth or that they can shut down domestic energy production and still keep energy prices low. In the same way, Ron Paul’s naive, pie-in-the-sky solutions are unworkable in the real world.

Yes, it would have.

Rush Limbaugh and his sycophants would have been the biggest cheerleaders for that stupid bill if it had come up in 2004 when the GOP controlled Congress and George W. Bush was ready to sign it into law.

what is really sad is Rush’s widow sold his house as soon as he died and the new owner bulldozed it.

unbelievable.

That always happens in Palm Beach, you are buying the location, not the house.

If you can afford the location, you can afford to build the house exactly the way you want it.

DeSantis is backing Trump and assisting with raising money. This has the feel of a hit piece on people Trump’s considering for VP

As long as the candidate is America First, I don’t care if they have a D or an R behind their name. Shocking? No. What’s shocking is the amount of people who still believe the Republicans in DC are not Uni Party and that all Dems are the evil bad guys.

TRUTH!

“What Trump is going to do is get rid of the swamp creatures, their power. He is going to set up maga and fix it so the swamp is history.”

No he is not. He is up against the very same challenges Ron Paul would have been up against had he won. Both sides are going to tie Trump’s hands so tight he won’t be able to do one thing he would like to do.

All we can hope for is that Trump delays the damage for four years with the power of veto. Because after Trump the global communists will be right back in the saddle again to seal the deal for good. That is if he even gets elected... Because they are going to steal it right out from under our noses again and there will be nothing we can do about it.

As optimistic as we would like to be reality cannot be changed. The global new world order has spent 50 years creating redundancy to their plan of one world order. Trump will just be an annoying speed bump along the way to the inevitable end. They are just far too powerful and financially secure to stop.

I wish we could make Trump an honest righteous king with all powers over everything to fix this. Unfortunately as much as you and others have some idea he will have this kind of power that is not how it works. They are already making him backtrack and cover his ass because of the gag order. Just one small example that he will just not have the power that we would like him to have.

A president just does not have this kind of personal power over all other branches of government. It is a fantasy to even think so.

I love Rand, but he is too short to be President. People vote for the stupidest things like Biden and Obama’s big toothy smiles. Newsom may get elected simply because of his smile despite almost destroying California.

Nixon versus Kennedy. Nixon looked like a ghoul on TV next to Kennedy.
