“Weed ruins people.”

Criminalizing things that people use to ruin themselves - whether weed, booze, or unhealthy diets - is textbook nanny-statism.

Are you saying that cocaine, meth, fentanyl, heroin, and opium should all be made legal and advertised as well?

What about prostitution ( child prostitutes included ), should also be made legal?

Crimes such as looting and other forms of theft are quasi legal now. How's THAT working out?

Criminalizing things that people use to ruin themselves - whether weed, booze, or unhealthy diets - is textbook nanny-statism.

Except when it leads to psychosis, reckless driving and associated injuries, criminal activities such as burglary, assault, and menacing other American Citizens.

No one's motivation is to keep users safe and healthy, it's to keep other citizens safe from criminal activities and harm.

Making governments into drug cartels is supposed to be an antidote to nanny statism? You are on the same side as George Soros because of his benevolent economic policies?

True. But legalizing things that people use to ruin themselves — while forcing employers and taxpayers to cover the health care costs of everyone — is mental retardation on a historical scale.
