The locals had to call FHP that could accelerate to match speed with the vehicle then using either front side of their car nudge the side and back of the perp vehicle. Usually spins them out. Other times more happens as in this case. Of course the daily mail portrays as ‘cops killing innocent black kids’.

Pitting cars at any speed is dangerous, but at over 100 mph is anyone surprised that people were killed?

I’m not sure if they “deserved” what they got, but they certainly killed themselves.

small world. We actually drove by this wreck at 2 am while the perps were still trapped in the vehicle. The one thing I will say is that it was a very bad location for a PIT maneuver and it’s no surprise the vehicle ended up wrapped around a pole. The famblies of the young scholars will be getting paid by the state, unfortunately. There is plenty of open highway on either side of this small town and I just can’t fathom why the deputy choose to do it on a narrow street among houses, businesses, etc.

Funny story ... I am in N Florida and 2 years ago I was going on vacation over Christmas. Forecast said we were going to get a cold snap when I was out of town that would drop the temps into the high 20s. I had to go to 8 stores to find an insulated cover for my outdoor faucets ... they simply dont sell them down here.
