'They will take it back!' China 'readying land grab' on Russia as Xi turns on Putin
Daily Express ^ | 04.28.2024 | CHARLIE BRADLEY

China is waiting for the Russian Federation to collapse so it can seize a slice of land taken from it by Russia 200 years ago, it has been claimed.

Beijing has been a crucial supporter of Vladimir Putin since he invaded Ukraine and was essentially cut off from the Western world due to sanctions.

But Canadian journalist and author Diane Francis believes that China is also preparing to take back a slice of land in the far east of Russia.

Speaking to Times Radio, she explained how the war in Ukraine may have just Beijing-Moscow relations.

She said: "China was put in a terrible position. They had an Olympics they were proud of in 2022, and Putin went there and got Xi to sign a partnership agreement without telling him that three days later he was going to genocidally invade his neighboring country.

"He never told Xi. This was hugely embarrassing."

Ms Francis believes the Russian Federation will collapse after the war in Ukraine, allowing China to reclaim land previously under its jurisdiction.

She added: "China is very much involved in what happens to Russia after this is over. Many of us speculate that once the centre doesn't hold and they lose the war, whoever replaces Putin is not going to be able to hold on to 11 timezones of nation.

"It is just too big a country. At the far-east edge is Manchuria, which was stolen from China over 100 years ago. They want Manchuria back, and they are going to get it.

"The minute there is weakness, they will move. Not necessarily with troops but they will move politically to seize control of it."

This week, Putin announced plans to visit China in May. His announcement came while US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was in the country to meet President Xi.

According to a recent U.S. assessment, China has surged sales to Russia of machine tools, microelectronics, and other technology that Moscow in turn is using to produce missiles, tanks, aircraft and other weaponry for use in the conflict.

China has repeatedly said it isn’t providing Russia with arms or military assistance, although it has maintained robust economic connections with Moscow.

Russia invaded Manchuria in 1900 after the after the First Sino-Japanese War of 1894–1895.

“ The Trump-Biden presidencies have been a disaster just on inflation alone”

Yeah. Get rid of Putin and it could happen.

Get rid of Chicoms and China becomes our friend.

quote “There’s no reason to try to invade when Russia will happily sell them all the raw materials the want, and the Russians will happily buy all the Chinese products they can sell”

the same could have been said about Ukraine, and yet here we are

Manchuria is already part of the People’s Republic of China. The area seized by the Russian Empire in the 1800s is the region just east of Manchuria (south of the Amur River)—taking that enabled Russia to have a port on the Sea of Japan (part of the Pacific Ocean), Vladivostok. Maybe there was no place north of the Amur River suitable for a major port.

I wish our government thought that way.

The only way China invades Russia is if NATO takes over Russia and installs a puppet. That ain’t happening anytime soon.

Ha. Definite evidence of CIA gamesmanship. The agents playing this probably cheat. Can’t help themselves. It’s in their dna.

Not really. Nothing at all close. Ukraine went nazi banderist, banned the Russian language, forbade even laying flowers at WWII Russian army graves, and pounded the Donbass with artillery. Their government stole gas from the transiting pipelines and was pushing to bring in NATO.

The coup government in Kiev was not an honest trading partner.

With a little intelligence, the Ukes could have been one of the great middleman nations of history, trading with both the EU and Russia. But they chose Bandera, Nazism and violence.

I have long contended that Russia and the United States have an awful lot in common, not the least of which is that we face two common enemies: radical Islam and China. We should have been busy since the fall of communism in 1991 making sure that Russia was a friendly nation, and cooperating on matters of joint interest and concern. Instead, we have done everything possible to make an enemy of Russia, at a time when China’s power has been growing exponentially. This is one of the most foolhardy mistakes our leaders have ever made, and in view of some of the stupidity in our history, that is saying something.

Dealing with this particular article, I am of the belief that if China tries to take a large chunk of Siberia from the Russians, there will be a sudden increase in parking space in the middle of various Chinese cities. They won’t need much in the way of lights, as much of the land there will be glowing for quite some time.

The Bible predicts China and Russia will join forces against Israel at some point in the future.

Umm…don’t forget the United States!

Joel 3: 2I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning My people, My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations as they divided up My land. 3They cast lots for My people; they bartered a boy for a prostitute and sold a girl for wine to drink.

More British trash. Typical of that blighted country.

Far too risky for China to antagonize even a collapsed Russia because most of China’s agricultural crop production is located right next to Russia’s borders.

Sure Russia’s Amur Oblast would be tempting to China; after all it is Russia’s largest soybean production region... but already a majority of the renters of that ag land is Chinese.

No way China would endanger its corn production in Inner Mongolia or Heilongjiang for a chance at Russia’s Far East.

China’s eyes are set on the South China Sea. If it gets Taiwan, China will cast its eyes on the Philippines.

I could see China supporting Russia in Ukraine, for the purpose of weakening both China and the US.

I meant "weakening both Russia and US".

“From China’s perspective, it is a perfect scenario. The longer it lasts, the better for China.”

Not really. This war ended China’s “Belt and Road” gambit for conquering the world. They had a window of time to make this happen and now the moment is passed. China is now stuck holding trillions in bad debt on useless, incomplete, and crumbling infrastructure.

But they can still take back what was once theirs and I hope they do.
