These lawyers are crawling out of their fetid pools to criticize the NYC case because they’re seeing the credibility of the entire legal profession destroyed before their very eyes.
Where is it written in US law that "catch and kill" is a "crime"?
Bottom line, any judge worth their salt would throw this case out and not let it proceed.
Does anybody really believe that the citizens of New York give a whit about the law in this case? Heck, I’ll even go so far as to state that they probably know President Trump committed no crimes. Who cares? They have a chance to snatch a win for their team.
Dems don’t care. It’s all about the optics and feeding stories to their media...

The saddest part of this political farce is that the judiciary is complicit. The state judiciary, if not the presiding judge, should have put an end to this long ago.
Still, there doesn’t seem to be any shortage of elite lawyers champing at the bit to opine that this is a very serious case and President Trump should be convicted and locked up.

Does it matter? NY juries show no sign of discretion or thought in NY cases. NY judges appear to be monsters obeying the administrative state’s dictates.
Someone in the trial would actually have to care about looking at law and facts for this to make a difference.

I’m thinking that Bragg was dragged into this prosecution knowing it was BS, but relying on a New York jury to convict regardless of the merits.
Bragg is not looking for a Home Run here. He only needs a conviction to put Trump behind bars until November. That's their whole plan. They don't care if Trump is free by December or January. They're just playing for six months, or even less if you throw in the fact that after this case, they're going to turn it over to Jack Smith and the DC judge.

I still don’t understand how any accounting done in 2017 can be said to have interfered with the election that occurred in 2016.

That is the entire point of this charade campaign.
The Democrats know they engaged in gigantic election fraud. And they were successful in it. They plan to do it in every subsequent election from here forward.
The only way to be able to do it is to squelch and destroy any voices of opposition to what they are doing. To cower them into submission. They’ve successfully done that with the Republican Party. They need to make sure any outsider or independent voices are also destroyed so that their electoral process can continue without serious controversy.
Sure hope the jurors have the brains to follow all of this. They’ve already decided Orange Man Bad, and it’s going to take an arsenal to change their minds.
