Bingo. Once elected reps like him only worry about themselves.

He’s Paul Ryan redux

Johnson gave a similar line to the Times: “I really do believe the intel. I think that Vladimir Putin would continue to march through Europe if he were allowed.

I was told that Russia has been mired in the Donbas for 2 years, moving only a few meters per day

I was told that Russia has taken half a million dead and lost their original army

I was told that Russia has lost thousands of tanks

I was told that the Russian economy is being strangled by sanctions and is the verge of bankruptcy.

I was told Putin is dying of cancer

Now I'm told Russia will sweep across Europe unless Ukraine gets more money

It’s bad enough that traitorous Mike Johnson supported this but isn’t Trump now supporting this too?

I don’t think he caved. He supports sending arms to Ukraine, just like a majority of other Republicans in the Congress do. And I might add Trump could have stopped it if he wanted to but he did not.

it was “sobering briefings” he received after becoming speaker. “It was the intelligence, it was the Europe generals who are in charge of the freedom of the world and of course it was the developments as well, everything has escalated,” he told the outlet.

BS. It was a small-town hick who got elected House Speaker and then got rolled by the Washington establishment and is going to stay rolled so Politico can keep saying nice things about him.

Somethings up that's for sure. Johnson met with Trump, then proceeded to betray the conservative masses across America. I was hopefully that change was coming when Johnson became speaker, but now all I see is another traitor. And if Trump gave him his blessing over these bills, well, I'm about done with the entire thing.

Will I still vote for Trump, yes, unless something really drastic happens between now and November. But will he now have my full confidence, no, and neither will the House or Senate.

All I see are a majority of politicians committing traitorous acts, ignoring the wellbeing of US citizens, and bringing our country closing to destruction.

Johnson ought to be ashamed of himself, but like all traitorous politicians, I'm sure he's not.

Or, he’s got a razor thin majority and a Democrat Senate and Democrat White House. Do people at the Federalist live in reality? What do they want this man to do when his own party is unable to stand together??? Some people (many on this website) actually want to be in the minority because then all they have to do is sit back and bitch about everything.

No, he didn’t cave because of that. It’s fairly well understood that if $60B is sent to Ukraine, at least 1/4 of it finds its way back here and into the ‘Rat Party coffers. In this case that would amount to ~$15 Billion; or in plain figgers, $15 thousand million! So they wave a paltry 4 or 5 million$ under yer speakership’s nose and say, “If ya’ play ball with us. If ya’ don’t...Stay away from Ft. Marcey Park. And the beat goes on. JMHPO.

Well, for one Johnson cannot fix the border. I think he’s smart enough to realize that. All he can do is throw money at the problem. The money then goes to all the executive branch fascists that will only use it to process more illegals and all the congressional oversight committee song and dance won’t change a single thing. Makes for good video clips though. (See Mayorkas impeachment)

If he admits to that publicly, then it’s game over for his authority, unless and until we can win the presidency and keep the house, plus root out the fascists deep state. Otherwise defunding Biden’s fascist bureaucracy or not giving them more funds is the best outcome presently.

A very tall order no matter how you look at it.

The author of this article is more interested in splitting the republican base, and/or not a very deep thinker, IMO.

“Events on the ground have demonstrated pretty conclusively that Moscow cannot even secure all the territory it claims to have annexed in eastern Ukraine”

Once he was made aware that money is free and we can just make more of it, why not give some to other countries that really need it?

Seriously, would you trust any of these people to manage your small business or family budget?

I listened to interviews with a number of Johnson’s district constituents last night. They don’t seem particularly bothered about his shift.

The relentless attacks on Johnson over this are beginning to take on characteristics of paranoid schizophrenia.

I have no insight into what happened to Johnson.

1. Was he always a GOPe guy and I just didn’t know it?
2. Was he always a GOPe guy and hide it until it counted?
3. Was he “captured” by the Intel folks after he became speaker, which now control his positions on issues?

If I was to guess, I would say he was a good guy and the intel folks have captured him causing him to dance to their tune.

Capture can take many forms:
1. Blackmail, as in I know what your skeletons are so do what I say
2. Blackmail, we will plant evidence on you and take you down if you don’t do what I say
3. Blackmail mafia style, do what we say or your loved ones will pay the price
4. etc, many other variations

It's not that they can't secure it. They can secure it any time they want to. They don't want to secure rubble.

Plus they get the added bonus of chewing up the Uke army in trench warfare.
