Former President Donald Trump offered words of praise for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., saying he is "trying very hard" and is "a very good person."
His comments came Monday evening during an interview with Real America's Voice radio host John Fredericks.
"Look, we have a majority of one [in the House]," Trump said. "It's not like he can go and do whatever he wants. I think he's a very good person. I think he's a very good man. I think he's trying very hard. And, again, we have to have a very big election" to increase the Republican majority in the House.
"We have to elect some good senators, get rid of some of the ones we have right now like [Mitt] Romney and others. We have to have a big day and win the presidency."

Is Trump really saying that he likes Mike Johnson, or is Trump saying now is not the time for another bruising speakership battle?
Is Trump thinking longer term, especially getting past the November election, hopefully with good results , as opposed to reacting in the moment to disappointment we all have in Mike Johnson right now?

Mike Johnson isn’t the problem here. He’s not serving in an executive capacity where he can call his own shots. He’s the leader of a legislative body, and right now the solid conservative base in the House is dwarfed by the establishment dopes who have spent their careers passing foreign/corporate welfare bills.
The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate has operated just under the surface since the early 1900s.

The media won’t attack them, but their crimes are visible for all to see.

The House Saturday failed to pass the border security bill.
The border bill, turned down on a 215-199 vote, was brought to the floor under a fast-track procedure known as suspension of the rules that requires a two-thirds majority for passage. Tells you every thing you need to know about the border, Mayorkas, and Kabuki theater.
Next, their bringing back earmarks. These people are spitting in our faces now.
Pretty clear. President Trump is good at geopolitics. He doesn’t want to fight a war in Europe with Nato against Russia.
I would tend to agree but maybe we need to still keep the thin majority to hinder any “lame duck” session antics that Brandon can sign into law before Trump returns?

Israel isn’t going anywhere. They’re capacity to kick the @zz of everyone around them isn’t diminished just because they get a handout from the US within the next few months. On the other hand, flooding the country with illegal labor, recipients of public services, potential criminals/terrorists, and eventual Democrat voters should be issue #1...by a long shot.
