Michael Douglas has given his take on whether Joe Biden is too old to run again.
During a Sunday appearance on CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, the Oscar-winner, 79, was asked whether Biden was in good enough cognitive shape to continue.
'Well I think that I walk a little similar to him, and the people that I've talked to say he is as sharp as a tack... he's fine,' Douglas, two years Biden's junior, said.
'We all have an issue with memories as we get older, we forget names.
'He's overcome a stutter in his life and sometimes he might [stutter], but let's just say his entire cabinet including his vice-president would be more than happy to work with him again in the next term.
'I cannot say that about the other candidate running because nobody in his in his cabinet for 2016 wants to be involved with him,' he said of Trump.
Zakaria further pushed Douglas, asking whether Biden would be able to run the country four years from now, when he is well into his 80s. If Biden, already the oldest president ever, wins re-election, he will be 86 by the end of his second term.
'I think he'll be fine, thank you very much,' repeated the actor, who plays Benjamin Franklin on Apple TV's Franklin, which depicts the founding father's time in Paris during the Revolutionary War.
'This is probably the most important election of my lifetime. This is the most critical time of my lifetime that I can remember. We need somebody in control who has some experience and knows how to work a global situation.'

Zeta-Jones....
Dang !
YES... I always look-up his most recent opinion before I do anything important.
I find it all very odd.
The leftist media run to the make-believe play actors, pretending to be fictional characters for opinions regarding reality and government, which affect everyone in real life with real jobs. On a daily basis, the lying media always run to those who don’t live or work in reality and publish their opinions. It’s just wrong on every level. As if fame makes them wise, smart or intelligent.
Why not ask people who live and work in reality, like plumbers, truck drivers or realtors and publish their opinions on a daily basis?
I remember Michael Douglas.
because they can’t control reality, but they can do whatever they please with a fantasy narrative.
It was basically rhetorical questions...It just seems so bizarre the need for the media to obtain opinions regarding reality from those who don’t live or work in reality.
Realized that after I posted.. was going to say something about sorry about posting the obvious but got sidetracked.
You say, “Michael Douglas is an extraordinary actor — he read his lines while keeping a straight face.”
I say, “Michael Douglas is a de-racinated Jew —he read his lines while keeping a straight face.”
This is just one actor commenting on another actor.
memory loss - Yes but of most of us still remember where our
peepee is.
I guess worrying about that 03:00 am phone call, is just
something those old boomers worried about.
The woke generation is so much more enlightened. /s
For instance, I can't remember why I ever thought Michael Douglas was worth watching.
Gosh, I really dislike Hollywood.
Yah, let’s all pretend bite-me is actually running the country, or that he even knows where he is half the time...
STE=Q
His mother was not Jewish and he was not raised nor educated in either faith. Wikipedia says he began to identify as a Reform Jew (i.e.: member of a heretical social club) less than 10 years ago.
had a friend at 56 was institutionalized for dementia and Bruce Willis a 66 none expected either.
There is NOTHING like FR sarcasm!
Ouch.
But Quinn Martin did bring in some good actors.
That’s Zeta-Jones in the pic
The rule is to show a Zeta-Jones pic when mentioning Maureen Dowd. After Douglas persuaded Dowd to stop writing about the Bill & Monica sex scandal during their whirl wind affair, thoroughly documented by the NY Post, he dumped her for Zeta-Jones. The got married shortly after the Dowd operation. Dowd was humiliated.
