Michael Douglas, 79, says Biden, 81, isn't too old for a second term: 'We all have an issue with memory when we get older!'

Michael Douglas has given his take on whether Joe Biden is too old to run again.

During a Sunday appearance on CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, the Oscar-winner, 79, was asked whether Biden was in good enough cognitive shape to continue.

'Well I think that I walk a little similar to him, and the people that I've talked to say he is as sharp as a tack... he's fine,' Douglas, two years Biden's junior, said.

'We all have an issue with memories as we get older, we forget names.

'He's overcome a stutter in his life and sometimes he might [stutter], but let's just say his entire cabinet including his vice-president would be more than happy to work with him again in the next term.

'I cannot say that about the other candidate running because nobody in his in his cabinet for 2016 wants to be involved with him,' he said of Trump.

Zakaria further pushed Douglas, asking whether Biden would be able to run the country four years from now, when he is well into his 80s. If Biden, already the oldest president ever, wins re-election, he will be 86 by the end of his second term.

'I think he'll be fine, thank you very much,' repeated the actor, who plays Benjamin Franklin on Apple TV's Franklin, which depicts the founding father's time in Paris during the Revolutionary War.

'This is probably the most important election of my lifetime. This is the most critical time of my lifetime that I can remember. We need somebody in control who has some experience and knows how to work a global situation.'

‘We all have an issue with memory when we get older!’

But we don’t all run for President of the USA and we do not want a guy who can’t even figure out how to get off the stage leading the United States.

It’s an old, familiar pattern: Actor makes movie; actor travels country using studio’s PR budget to flog the movie; actor pretends to be involved; movie runs; actor goes back to the coffin until next movie.

Joe Biden's stutter is an interesting medical issue.

80% of children who stutter recover completely normal speech by age 12.

There is no verifiable medical evidence that any child has ever "overcome" stuttering.

With or without stutter therapy, 80% of children - almost all of them male - stop stuttering by age 12.

In old age, the reverse is true.

There are thousands of medical case studies that confirm former child stutterers begin to stutter again after a stroke or the onset of other brain diseases.

As a child, Joe Biden recovered normal speech after completely natural brain development.

As an elderly man, brain disease will slowly deprive Joe Biden of normal speech.

Yoo hoo, Michael.

“If Biden was driving, would you get in the car?”

I didn’t think so.

LOL at how he’s negotiating in his head, to justify his preference.

And let’s remember, he was once head over heels for Maureen Dowd.

He’s great at making choices, isn’t he?

Douglas got HPV, which some say led to his cancer.

I agree he isn’t too old. He’s just too corrupt and too addled. There are plenty of people his age who aren’t that way.

His career peaked with me on The Streets Of San Francisco.

He was very good in Falling Down.

Another actor reading the script provided to him.

It is good he made bank while young because Hollywood as we know it is but a shadow of what it once was. The business model is broken and no one in Hollywood knows how to fix it.

I would be willing to bet that another job going away in the future will be “actors”. Movies will still be made but instead of real people CGI will be so good that actors will be created on a computer and just plugged into a CGI movie.

People have been playing “realistic” computer games for so long they will just accept the new reality.

Good bye Mike to you and your opinions.

Michael Douglas: "Nobody in Trump's 2016 Cabinet wants to be involved with him."

LOL!

Maybe because every person who stuck with him has been vilified, sued, indicted, jailed, or bankrupted by legal fees?

Sounds like Douglas has been practicing “Falling Down” like Biden.
