What fed money do states have to give up to get out of Title IX? Because that is what it is going to take in the short term to get this under control. Those of a liberal bent who want a “national divorce” or a serious return of power to the states are going nowhere unless there is at least ONE state willing to say no to fed money with fed restrictions.
If a state decides to not accept federal money the federal government will still claim that the state must obey all federal rules. There is no legitimate basis for this, but the federal government is drunk on power.
