MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting incident in the Orange Mound area.
Around 7 p.m., officers surrounded the area near Carnes Avenue and Grand.
When officers were on the scene, they discovered five victims had been shot.
Three were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and two were pronounced dead on the scene.
All six victims in the hospital are now in stable condition, according to MPD. One was released from the hospital.

I was a little kid in Memphis back then. It was a fun place to live.
The crack epidemic hit hard in the 80’s.
There was a brief recovery. Then 2008 and the “coronavirus restrictions” (edicts from the Shelby County Health Department) finished it off.
The rich people here forgot to consider what would happen when the middle class fled. They cared not a thing about crime and poor schools. They had guards and private schools.
Now they live like the bird in the golden cage surrounded by the ghetto.
Memphis is a chocolate city.
