MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting incident in the Orange Mound area.
Around 7 p.m., officers surrounded the area near Carnes Avenue and Grand.
When officers were on the scene, they discovered five victims had been shot.
Three were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and two were pronounced dead on the scene.
All six victims in the hospital are now in stable condition, according to MPD. One was released from the hospital.

Unregistered vehicles, open containers, smoking weed, burning doughnuts on the basketball courts, no drivers licenses, outstanding warrants on most, and what was most important to city officials was to not disrupt their hood rat cultural event.
Between the new mayor that thinks he's Malcom X, new police chief that speaks from her cell phone at press conferences, and the new Superintendent of public schools that holds barber shop listening tours to "implement innovative solutions to complex problems", one might as well do Tennessee a great favor and nuke the whole place. There is no fixing this.

The new mayor held a national black mayor's only conference where he had every black mayor from failing cities come to Memphis to share ideas. I asked "why they couldn't invite succeeding mayor's from cities with the lowest crime rates and lowest tax rates to share their experiences?"

I had to pick up my wife from the airport last night. Most the roads approaching the airport from Midtown pass right thru Orange Mound. I drove to the small airport near my house and flew into Memphis Intl. I picked her up at signature and flew her back. I wasn’t going near Airways and Lamar. It’s worse than Somalia or Haiti. It will never get any better, only worse.
The truth is often harsh.
