I doubt he will survive, if he suffered 3rd degree burns over large parts of his body. They will probably have to induce coma to spare him from the constant trauma.

He may not. Infection after a burn is next and the other thing is did he inhale flames down into his lungs.

I’ve known a couple of people who set themselves on fire like that. The recovery is terrible.
