Nobody in Congress deserves it more than that handful of geopolitical idiots who would allow Moscow to genocide Ukraine for the sole purpose of poking the Administration in the eye.

I've said it before. You're the second biggest idiot on this forum.

Quick retort because you’re up early, or because it’s lunchtime in Moscow?

“Biden could ship them on his own authority, and their promise to pay, at any time.”

Not only that, but why doesn’t Europe buy them from us. We could give them a nice discount and they wouldn’t have to be scouring the planet trying to find them in Third World countries?

Something tells me that his claim of “millions” of available shells is just another DNC Talking Point.

Its been on track to lose right from the start. Anybody who could look at it objectively and who didn’t just swallow the Deep State propaganda knew that a long time ago.

The US has provided $75 billion to Ukraine. Would it have been solved if we just paid the Russians $50 billion to just leave? Food for thought……

They do want certain territory but not the entirety of Ukraine….. certainly not eastern Europe. They will grind the Ukrainians into dust with or without the funds. The Russian military is now larger than it was when the conflict started…. To keep dragging this out is a shame.

Only cluster munitions are still available in large quantities. So that’s the EU excuse on shells.

The air defence missile shortage is real. The available inventories have been used up and current production is still miniscule.

Frankly, this whole “emergency” and “crisis” for Ukraine is performative. Cluster shells and land mines are available in the millions and could be sent. That would stabilize the front, but they don’t do it.

I believe they want Ukraine to fail, and fail this year before the election, so the can blame Trump.

All Zelensky needs is more American money to win.

All Zelensky needs is more American money to win.

Ukraine is asking for weapons, to fight our enemy Russia.

We send Ukraine older weapons, and spend the "money" resupplying our military with new up to date weapons.

Largest part of latest proposal of Ukraine aid of 60 billion is 20 billion that funds US replenishment of the US military.

If over 100 billion US taxpayer dollars and billions from the EU didn’t do it, another 60 billion and fewer bodies to kill, sure isn’t going to do it.

This 60 billion is all about money laundering and breaking America.

So we should still give them $60 billion even if it won’t help them win the war? It looks like a last ditch effort to grab as much cash as they can. What will they do fire dollar bills at the Russians? We can’t produce the weapons, ammunition and men they need to win. Money won’t win the war.

Thanks, that is interesting. So no powerful shells, just bomblets that likely cannot even penetrate an IFV. The lack of air defense shows just how caught-short everyone was with the arrival of drones.

The inability for the West to significantly scale-up production of just about anything (even the scale up of 155’s is relatively minor, considering the attrition-level starting point) is one of the main reasons I opposed this war (I’m not too hot on risking nukes flying either).

I knew the US mindset when it came to paying for extra capacity (something from the Yamaguchi School of Economics, or whatever they hell it’s called): “Shut up, when we need it, we’ll build it, you’re just wasting money now asking for those things.”. Unfortunately, surge-capacity doesn’t work that way in the modern world, where you need existing SECURE supply lines (i.e., not from China) and SKILLED workers for production lines, rather than lesbian vaginal studies majors. This ‘transition’ became OBVIOUS one Leftists took effective control of our institutions.

I also know that Russia never left the Soviet mindset (which was ours, by the way, going into WW2, and to a lesser extent after WW2) which was to have large inventories, and then be ready for large-scale surge production.

So, given the above, it probably wasn’t the brightest move to start a war on Russia’s borders, but ARROGANCE won out, and we would even got a taste of that arrogance here every once in a while, even before this war, such as: “No way that hypersonics can work for Russia and China (based on the fact that we decided not to develop them)”.

And yet our government wants to send them, what, another 60-90 million in aid?

Ukraine has successfully taken back 47% of land areas initially stolen by Russia. So for now... Ukraine is winning. Russia also had to abandon its failed take-over of Kiev - it was a total fiasco for Moscow.

LOL. Winning! Are you auditioning for a military analyst spot on CNN? You'd fit right in

It depends on the Russian strategy. Are they letting the Ukrainians grind themselves into meat against defensive positions before advancing, time is on the side of Ivan in logistics and manpower. Young George W. Zelensky(who bands religions and elections, sounds like Ivan!) isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, and NATO and US command is on par with Zelensky in that regard.

With little to no actual combat footage and a media who would break out in convulsions if it told the truth who knows what is actually going on in the Ukraine. Since the war started all I have heard is the Russians are near defeat, they are out of missiles, the Ukraine will win shortly, the Russians will win shortly etc... Both sides have been caught lying over and over, stop the $ and stay out of this mess.

It sure did.

And they still think that all they have to do is borrow and print, and Ukraine magically keeps fighting.
