That’s a funny coinkidink... we common sense America-loving MAGA patriots think exactly the same thing about you globalist WEF-worshipping dipsh!ts.
The demilitarization of the port of Sevastopol by Ukraine is an all time classic. Who would have thought?
Some, saw this coming a long time ago.
When you screw with someone 3.51 times your population, 3.3 times you economic size, 3.3 times your military manpower, >3 times your intel service, you probably are messing with someone you shouldn't be.
Anyone that has any sort of military planning experience is familiar with the 3:1 rule of thumb regards combat power:
https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA302819.pdf
https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/AD1083211.pdf
https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/monograph_reports/2007/MR638.pdf
Granted, combat power is a concept that also has to take into consideration the technological advantage in weapon systems (firepower/survivability etc), training, morale of troops. But I would argue that Russia and Ukraine are likely fairly evenly matched even with all our military aid (Russia isn't all that backward like some want to pretend).
In this type of scenario (at a macro level), and especially in a war of attrition, you generally find that what happens is that over time the superior force gains more and more momentum after the inferior force makes a mistake they cannot recover from (the tipping point: Stalingrad / Midway), and then things become a proverbial $hitstorm for the inferior force which initially looks like they are going to conquer the world, i.e. Germans / Japanese in WWII.
I am positive that on our side, at the highest levels (not for public consuption), the number one topic regards Ukraine today is how do we disengage without looking like total failures? How do we nurse Ukraine along so that our disengagement (cutting our losses) does the minimum possible damage to those responsible for the decisions made which led to this conflict, i.e. the Biden administration. IMHO, the goal now is to keep things going until after the November elections (national / internal politics drive foreign and security matters), but I do not believe that even that will be possible. The inevitable military defeat of Ukraine has already begun.
“The congressional funding will be approved soon and you’ll be able to watch the supply flights from Korea to Poland ...”
Don’t wait up for that one...
It may happen, but I wouldn’t bet my retirement on it.
We are going to need those 155 mm shells in our war with the New Axis—We can beat Russia and maybe Russia and Iran but add China and North Korea to the mix and it starts to look dicey.
Will all of NATO help? Will Canada? Lots of questions, few answers.
“Its always been on the track to lose.”
That’s always been the case. They lucked out when Russia flubbed the first attacks. Russia just changed their strategy. Ukraine is going to lose unless the USA gets in or Russia quits.
The deal is done. Putting your faith in Tucker Carlson and the other Putin blow hards was really dumb. And the Iranian attack on Israel was really dumb, too.
>> Will all of NATO help? Will Canada?
If the neocon warmongers succeed in getting us into a real war with a powerful adversary (not a remote brushfire — like the recent ones where we have the ability but not the will to WIN) — my guess is, we’ll be going it alone. Canada and almost all of Europe are now comfortably within the woke cocoon and will be of no real help to US.
Will all of NATO help? Will Canada?
I can tell you the answer to that one is “No !”
This is one case where Quebec isolationism will save us.
President Reagan didn’t appease Russia.
>> And the Iranian attack on Israel was really dumb, too.
Your man Biden thinks it was brilliant and succesful.
You are on the wrong side, progressive America hater.
“The deal is done.”
Let’s wait.
It is four new bills, with new offsets, new conditions... just the kind of BS the DC UniParty does when it is slow walking non-action.
“the goal now is to keep things going until after the November elections”
Blame it on Trump and the Republicans if the fail is before November.
Watch the vote counts on Saturday. There are still a lot of us Reagan Republicans out there.
And if President Trump didn’t support this deal, he would have said so today.
>> President Reagan didn’t appease Russia.
Give it a rest. Russia, America, and the American executive were all quite different entities 32 years ago.
Kabuki theater. The deal is done and President Trump is on board, too. And it was his idea to make it a loan, which I support.
>> There are still a lot of us Reagan Republicans out there.
Right you are! I know some of you personally; living in the past, without a clue about the present and with little regard for the future.
Russia hasn’t changed since its Mongol horde days. Patton knew it. Reagan knew it.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Ukraine was in trouble already — now it openly admits it's on track to lose, Navy Patriot wrote: Ukraine is on track to lose.
Yes. It's still losing. Now it's losing faster and more conspicuously, but it is still losing.
Even if the workforce hadn't left as refugees, had they stayed there would be no electricity to run factories, heat, light etc. Heat light and running water require electricity and Putin is removing that. Really, the power grid collapsing and the West is propping up the government, fully making the Ukraine a welfare satellite with no ability to sustain itself, for decades. America is the Ukrainian government, financially now, and for as long as this farce continues.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled How the electric war is redrawing the Ukraine……, ransomnote wrote: Russia's supposed drop in production and sanctions, which not all nations will obey, is NOTHING compared with the complete collapse of the Ukrainian economy, the death and departure (refugee) of their able-bodied workforce, and the destruction of their electrical grid along with anything plugged into it.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Three Men Charged With Running Hawala Scheme Responsible For Illicitly Moving More Than $65 Million Between The United States And The Middle East, GOPJ wrote: We are paying to sustain Ukraine’s critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities. We subsidize Ukraine’s small businesses, buy seeds and fertilizer for Ukrainian farmers and fund divers who clear unexploded ammunition from the country’s rivers to make them safe again for swimming and fishing.
Americans pay to secure Ukraine’s borders while millions of welfare seeking barbarians and terrorists flood through ours.
We're being taken to the cleaners...
According to this FR thread, an increasing number of cities in the Ukraine are becoming unlivable with permanent damage to power generating systems and all the infrastructure, electronics and basics (heat, light and water).
There is no comparison. If the public understood that the United States provides the economy for the Ukraine, more would realize the Ukraine lost the war long ago and they are being propped up as puppets "Save the Ukraine!" when there's no chance of winning.Excerpted:
NATO/Zelensky/Biden are willing to let all of the Ukraine burn and conscript her people (aged 15 to 70, including the disabled) to die in trenches with insufficient weapons. The criminals here are those controlling NATO's elite superpowers and using the Ukrainian citizens as sacrificial chess pieces on a blood-soaked chessboard.
