Sen. Rand Paul has directed a stern warning at former President Trump, cautioning that his continued backing of Speaker Johnson could alienate a significant portion of his base.

“If Trump supports this monstrous, unpaid for foreign aid debt buster, he will lose the very supporters who comprise his vanguard. Mark my words,” Sen. Rand Paul warned.

Trump has repeatedly said he’d end the war in Ukraine by cutting funding off to it.

Two years ago, when the war first started. Since then, he’s gone so far as to say he’d give Ukraine more money than Biden if the situation warrants it. He just met with the leader of Poland two days ago, do you really believe that would have happened if Trump was really going to abandon Ukraine? You might, but get real, for once.

Plenty of better people.

How many are willing to go bury themselves in the deep swamp of DC?

Maybe if more Freepers ran for Congress instead of bitching around here, the country would be in better shape.

President Trump or any of his supporters doesn’t need to listen to some spew by Rand Paul. He’s been a traitor who has stabbed us conservatives in the back many times. He should just shut it.

Johnson was somewhat boxed in on this, by the Senate passing a bill that includes all thIs foreign spending, but no US border wall funding. Then a group of bi-partisan house members threatened to override the speaker and bring that senate bill to the house floor. In response, Johnson decided to bring up separate foreign bills, along with a separate US border bill on the house floor, breaking his pledge to only bring up foreign bills that were tied to US border funding.

He should have kept his promise and forced them to override him. The question now is, why is Trump still supporting him, and why hasn’t Gaetz or MTG filed the motion to vacate yet. They are enabling Johnson by pulling their punches now.

Trump’s problem is still not identifying the enemy from within his “own” ranks. Johnson is clearly compromised and he and the rest of the congressional Republicans are on a kamikaze mission at this point. They are destroying any chance of the Republicans to retain the House or take the Senate. I mean why would I waste my time, effort and vote on these Vichy scum when they will betray me-yet again and they will betray Trump should he win-yet again.

The congressional Republicans have made a strategic choice and it is Marxism lite. They are helping the Democrats and BiteMe at every turn and in the process destroying any chance of congressional control in the next congress.

It’s time for a new party but the only way that happens is if Trump wins and it’s up and running in that time frame, otherwise the jig is up courtesy of the liberal Vichy Republican establishment selling us out completely.

National elections like biology is binary.

There are only two genders and only two parties capable of winning a presidential election.

I am ashamed to say that I voted for Juan McCain and Pierre Delecto.

I would be more ashamed to say that I voted for their opponent.

I only voted for McCain was due to Sarah Palin hoping she’d take over the presidency from him.

Guys, everyone take a deep breath - Rand Paul is correct. The whole point of MAGA is America First policies. Supporting someone who is Ukraine First goes against this. Trump should call Johnson out and not support him. Rand Paul is absolutely correct.

Would a Democrat speaker really be any different? Their priorities are already getting passed.
The first order of business for a Democrat controlled House would be passing a law prohibiting Donald Trump from becoming President using the 14th Amendment.

Conservative state Sen. Alan Seabaugh of Shreveport should oppose Johnson in the 2024 election.

I'm afraid they are - as long as it's "legal".

Plus, most of the Republican party are in agreement. They hate the MAGA's just as much as the Democrats.

“He’s right but Trump has repeatedly said he’d end the war in Ukraine by cutting funding off to it.”

I believe Trump said he’ll turn it into loans.

>> Sen. Rand Paul Issues Stark Warning to Trump: ‘He Will Lose the 2024 Election if He Continues to Support Speaker Johnson’

Ah, the irony coming from Rand Paul, who proudly and publicly backed MINORITY leader Mitch McConnell for Senate Republican Leader over and over again, and continues to happily do so until the bitter end of his tenure.

"Do as I say, not as I do", eh Rand?
