Why would they frame him for murder when they were letting him get away with domestic violence?
Indeed.
I remember hearing the theory advanced that he was innocent but police were tired of his domestic violence issues and racist against his interracial marriage.
That never seemed fully plausible to equate with an extensive evidence planting but the police there and elsewhere have had history of documented evidence planting and racism so they have to own and deal with that legacy. The different reactions to the acquittal by race bothered me.
