RFK Jr. Will Seek Libertarian Party Presidential Nomination
LegitGov.org ^ | April 9, 2024 | Lori Price

Posted on 04/09/2024 8:50:17 PM PDT by Angelino97

CLG News has learned and confirmed with several reputable sources within the Libertarian Party (LP) that Robert Kennedy, Jr., will or has already made a sizable donation to the LP. Further, sources confirm that he will, at least passively, seek the Libertarian Party nomination to be its candidate for President of the United States.

Given the enormous hurdles he faces for ballot access and the costs of obtaining it in 50 states, RFK Jr. is no doubt attempting to win the Libertarian Party nomination for the ballot access that the LP has secured in at least 48 states.

Michael Rectenwald, a leading Libertarian Party candidate for the LP presidential nomination, wrote to CLG News about this development:

"For Libertarians, the argument against RFK Jr. is simple. RFK Jr. is not a libertarian in any sense of the word. He's a statist who believes the State is the solution to all our problems, whereas Libertarians know that the State is the problem itself. He intends to add layers to the behemoth that is the federal government, including for first-time homeowners a guaranteed 3% mortgage program backed by the federal government and tied to the federal bond market. He has said that this program would be like having a 'rich uncle' cosign on mortgage loans. I ask what rich uncle this might be. Would that be Uncle Sam, who is 34.5 trillion dollars in debt? ...

"It would be an utter travesty if the Libertarian Party were to nominate RFK Jr. But I find it extremely unlikely. So, it will mean that I will defeat a Kennedy in a political contest..."

The purpose of the Libertarian Party is to suck votes away from Republicans.

Yep, Libertarians are just hedonistic liberals who don’t like paying taxes.

Looks like the Kennedy campaign is going off a cliff. If he had planned on this, he would or should have picked a Libertarian party member as his VP. Now it just reeks of desperation.

After he said he supported reparations he should have been shunned. I won’t consider him in any way after that.

An aide drafted some mincing backtracking words about it still being sort of, in a way, a black reparation if money was taken from taxpayers and would go to black neighborhood areas for rehabilitation. Then blacks didn’t like the sound of that.

Except I read his book on Fauci and the vaccines and he was pretty against them and pointed out how dangerous they were.

I could be mistaken, but I think the Libertarian Party has nominated statists in the past. I don’t think Gary Johnson’s positions were particularly libertarian.

As Milton Friedman said, “I am a big R Republican and a small l libertarian.”

I find the Libertarian Party hung up on drug decriminalization (they won!). If they pick a radical leftie like RFK Jr. as their candidate, they will render themselves meaningless in the future.

Libertarians pick and choose what parts of small government they like. Some oppose stop signs and others love free trade. RFK on the ticket means the Libertarians will keep ballot access for at least the next election cycle in states with difficult ballot access laws. RFK, Jr. has the ability to fracture the present Rat party, and for that alone we should all sign his ballot petitions.

After he said he supported reparations he should have been shunned.

And Trump promised a Platinum Plan for Black Americans, at a cost of $500 Billion.

Reparations under a more conservative sounding name.

Wealthy Republicans should absolutely bankroll RFK Jr. In his bid for Libertarian Party status to the hilt.

We need to cheer or help get RFK Jr on any blue state ballot, in almost every reliable poll, Rich Baris, IBD etc Trump leads Biden by more with RFK on ballot. That is why the Dems and lefties have formed a multi million dollar pac to keep RFK jr off the ballot.

“a couple years ago when Bobby boy was calling for any people still unvaxed to be thrown in prison”

I’m pretty sure that wasn’t him. He has been vehemently anti- ANY vax for decades, ESPECIALLY this clot shot. Read his Fauci book.

I recall someone saying the unvaxed should be imprisoned. At least one of them was one of those retarded late-night talk show hosts, I think.

RFK’s stance on opposing this vax is pretty much the only thing he has going for him. A one-trick pony, really, when it comes to conservatism. Although I was surprised that he mentioned Biden’s use of lawfare and the J6 POWs.

straight from the LP platform:

“We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders.”

LP is thus anti-borders, anti-nations, and pro-globalists ... period ... at least RFKJ is staunchly pro-border ...

Compared with RFK, Jr., Gary Johnson is like the reincarnation of Murray Rothbard.
