Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg dismissed the idea that Washington, DC, is experiencing a rise in crime, pointing out that a “lot of energy” was going into painting the narrative.
During an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki on Sunday, Buttigieg highlighted how he was able to “safely walk” his dog in the nation’s capital without any problems. Buttigieg, like many other elected officials, is provided with a security detail.

Why the inference that Buttgig is an elected official; he is butt an appointed wanker.
I have a possibility of traveling to DC this July to attend a convention for fans of a TV show. It goes from city to city each year, and DC was chosen last year.
My family may also be going. We plan to do some sightseeing while there.

Before I even read the article, I wondered if he had a security detail. Well, that would make a difference. Maybe there should be a federal program to provide security details to ordinary citizens who live in risky neighborhoods. The lady who got punched and robbed and pushed down the steps at her church in NYC certainly could have benefited from that.
This is what you get from a man whose only qualification for a cabinet position is his sexual proclivities: a pampered, out of touch, elitist fool.
Even before I saw that about his security detail, I immediately figured he could claim that because he has armed security.
And lo and behold, I was right.
But what's nice to know is that if you live in a Constitutional carry state, you are your own security and since most others are likely carrying, it's pretty safe.
At least in small towns.
