Yellen: There’s ‘More Distress’ in Low-Income Households, But Households ‘Generally’ in ‘Very Good’ Shape
Breitbart ^ | 04/08/2024 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 04/08/2024 7:17:13 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

During an interview with CNBC released on Monday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that “Some low-income consumers are perhaps exhausting their buffers of saving[s] that they built up during the pandemic, we’re seeing a little bit more distress at the household level there.” But despite that, “we’ve got a good, strong economy” with “very strong domestic demand” that is “on a solid track” and “generally, households are in very good financial shape.”

CNBC host Sara Eisen said, “I guess I’m just wondering if the economy continues to hold up, no matter what happens on the Fed.”

***Another elitist bubble dweller. She has no clue***

I call her 'The Gnome of Hoboken' on social media - a take off on the old myths about the Gnomes of Zurich. :^D

'Brainless' could have headed off some of the present debt crisis when she was Fed Chair by refinancing our onerous national debt while interest rates were near zero. "...Inflation is transitory." ⤵🚮

YELLEN:
Working class low and middle income citizens are going under financially week by week but it’s nothing to be concerned about

ALSO YELLEN:
The good news is that 8 million newly arrived illegal aliens are living very well on handouts and freebies paid for by tax money extorted from working class citizens

/sarcasm

"Here’s why even Americans making more than $100,000 live paycheck to paycheck"

Okay, on average Bill Gates and a homeless vet are generally in very good shape.

(If she can say that with a straight face, Yellen must be taking lying lessons from Karine Jean-Pierre.)

[are perhaps exhausting their buffers of saving[s] that they built up during the pandemic]

Oh.....when they DIDN’T have jobs? Because the easily-terrorized were demanding they take the jab?

Oh, yeah, a LOT of money was saved up during those days. /rolls eyes

Maybe by 2% of the public.

[to find a place when they have no family and nobody to help them move it even if they could find it.]

You pretty much described my situation and I’m nowhere even near 80. But everyone is gone. If not literally (family) then close to it.

Just watch - it will be 1.7%-2.0%

They’ll claim inflation was “only 2%” this year, so.....

Here’s Why Nobody Believes Biden On The Economy Anymore

https://issuesinsights.com/2024/04/09/heres-why-nobody-believes-biden-on-the-economy-anymore/

Payroll.org highlighted that 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, a 6% increase from the previous year. In other words, more than three-quarters of Americans struggle to save or invest after paying for their monthly expenses.”

Yellen’s net worth in 2021 was 20 million. So, guess it’s 25 million by now, and you’d not be out of line.

So, a rich woman basically says that the rest of us are doing fine, but it’s a little tight.

I’m sure she’s living it every day. /sarc

***exhausting their buffers of saving[s]***

Got to spend it on something before each dollar loses it’s value due to Bidenflation. Much like Germany in the 1920s.

A 50 lb bag of dog food in 2019, by 2021 was “NEW LARGER SIZE! A WHOLE 44 POUNDS!”

Sam Harris: “Hunter Biden could literally have had the corpses of children in his basement…I would not have cared”

...anyone who thinks this is an outlier, is naive.

I live in a small, rural, safe Republican district(for now).

An (elderly) woman recently moving into my complex and recently I had a chance to speak with her.

She said she's an "independent", researches everything before voting.

...then she proceeds to run off a whole spew of MSM talking points like a full kool-aid drinking toad(despises Trump(Russian puppet), adores Biden, Obama, Clinton, ...)

Face it..."They Live".

They have been manufactured.

Forget about the "future" threat of AI.

...folks like this prove, the threat already exists.

If you don't think (via brain-fornication) the way they do, they want you irrelevant...or dead.

To not take this threat seriously (and deal with it seriously) is foolish...this is not run-of-the-mill political gamesmanship...this is war...and our enemy is well-positioned(controlling institutions), well-financed(corruption)...and has a "bigly" head-start on their "agenda".

Out home insurance went up to point where it is higher than our real estate taxes. Up 20% this year over the 50% last year.

My inlaws rent is up to 3K a month on a home directly across the street from a drug dealer arrest last month. This is in Jacksonville Fl not the Hamptons. Their landlord is a large investor group that snapped up properties after the financial meltdown of 2008.

My tag line says it all about DC I fear.

And that's a big hit on your monthly payment on the mortgage, because of the increased amount you have to put into the escrow account.
