I think she’s enjoying making Jack Smith look like a fool.
Notice that she did not rule that the Presidential Records Act does not apply - only that there is no provision for a pre trial dismissal.
Trump can re file this dismissal once the trial takes place - in the future. Once the motion is filed it will take several weeks at minimum to rule and even if she does not dismiss, Trump will have the right to appeal .
This case is not going to go to trial for a long time, almost certainly after the election.
I kind of expected. This would be the outcome in terms of the dismissal, but it’s definitely not helping Jack Smith’s case right now.
