Ukraine lowers army mobilization age from 27 to 25

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday signed a law that lowers the country’s conscription age from 27 to 25 as Kyiv struggles to replenish its troops in its war against Russia.

Zelenskyy said last year that his government was exploring ways to mobilize more than 450,000 new troops to support soldiers facing exhaustion on the frontlines. But the proposal to lower the mobilization age is highly unpopular, and Zelenskyy was reportedly hesitant about signing the bill into law.

Some had proposed mobilizing NATO troops in Ukraine to support Kyiv’s war efforts, but several bloc members dismissed the idea.

Ukraine as a nation is finished. So what is the purpose of getting more Ukrainians killed at this point?

Zelensky's goal, like many other globalist minions, is to send white Christian men to their deaths.

I’m guessing you are not a young male war slave getting sent to the eastern front in an artillery war. Just going out on a limb here.

That’ll destroy the nation if they use every able bodied man.

Fight to last Ukie Male.
That will teach Putin.

The Germans have the best bottom of the barrel scraping.

From Wikipedia:

“The 70th Infantry Division (German: 70. Infanterie-Division) was a unit of the German Army during World War II. It was formed in 1944 from personnel previously exempted from military service due to stomach disorders or injuries (sometimes referred to as a “Stomach division”).”

Minority Republican: [That’ll destroy the nation if they use every able bodied man.]

Germany used every able-bodied man. Lost 12% of the population, including 5m military dead out of a population of 70m.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties#Total_deaths_by_country

Somehow the German nation not only survived, but went from strength to strength. The Soviets used every able-bodied man in in WW2. Ukraine lost 4% of its people (8% of its men) as military dead, 1.6m, as compared to 7% (14% of German men) for Germany. Somehow Ukraine retained its sense of national identity, and Germany retained its sense of Germanness.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties_of_the_Soviet_Union#Estimated_losses_for_each_Soviet_Republic

Rumsfeld came up with the nonsensical line about more soldiers in Afghanistan meaning more targets because Bush had decided to experiment with the idea that a light special ops footprint would be sufficient to pacify Afghanistan. In reality, more soldiers means fewer casualties and more victories. Despite having vastly superior firepower due to the scale of American economic mobilization (40% of GDP), Uncle Sam also made sure he mobilized just about every single able-bodied man he could. Out of a male population of 60m, 16m men were drafted. The Ukrainian equivalent would be 5m men.

That scale is why at Iwo Jima, the Japanese were outnumbered almost 6 to 1, and at Okinawa, the enemy was again outnumbered 5 to 1. That lopsided ratio is why several Japanese soldiers died for every GI lost in battle. Personnel numbers matter a great deal in war, both for winning and keeping friendly casualties down.

Have to look at the demographics. I don't think Ukraine is able to mobilize 5m men. Age limit is up to 45. After that, you're too old to fight.

It is OK for the Deep State to sacrifice them on the altar of their money laundering proxy war, then. As long as you get your cut, that’s all thatatters.

when the U.S. entered World War II, all men from their 18th birthday until the day before their 45th birthday were made subject to military service, and all men from their 18th birthday until the day before their 65th birthday were required to register

When the USA has a draft, we reach all the way down to 19 year olds.

That’s very true. I have my grandfather’s WWII draft registration, and he was nearly 50 when that war began.

I hate to say the obvious, but 27 year old solders are better training investments than 17 year olds. You will find reservists crash less trucks, cars, bulldozers on the way to the fight. Im 53, awaiting the offer to go build and fly drones for the Ukrainians. Since a good 7 inch drone pilot can turn around a platoon of .7M dollar tanks just as fast as an A10, my rate is 180k US per month.

And it's better on the demographics too. 27 years old soldier may have a kid or two. So if he gets killed, at least he will be able to continue his legacy through his progeny.

In the Vietnam war of the 58,000+ killed, Of those killed, 61% were younger than 21 years old. Given that a large percentage of those under 21 were typically Infantrymen gives backing to the average infantryman in the South Pacific during World War II saw about 40 days of combat in four years. The average infantryman in Vietnam saw about 240 days of combat in one year thanks to the mobility of the helicopter.

I read a report a 14 yr old Ukrainian boy in uniform was captured in the last 10 days. They “take anybody”, and nobody completes
active duty, they are dying.

General Patton said the most destructive weapon in the US arsenal was a 19 year old infantry soldier with an M-1. There’s a reason the USMC prefers their recruits to be under 20.

40 year old Ukrainian soldiers are outperforming 18 year old Russian conscripts.

IMHO: Suppressing fire was more effective with the M1 Garand, when the enemy was 200 plus yards away. Because of the round.

The barrel, wrapped with rags (so you could hold on while sweating) and with bayonet attached, was a handy tool.
