Techie (sorta) question

4 Times this past week an emergency 911 call was made from my sons phone.

He did not make those calls.

One time he was asleep it was the middle of the night

two other times the phone was just sitting on the table - he was not holding it.

Yesterday he was on the phone with his landlord when he got the message an alert that 911 call was detected from the phone.

Each time the sheriffs deputies arrive with their lights flashing -,one or two vehicles.

Someone obviously is remotely accessing his phone. Why?

My first thought was just to annoy us as we’re such troublemakers.

My more thought through is that by taking several sheriff deputies vehicles and personnel off the streets , they can now conduct some mischief.

. My obvious first guess is it’s the next-door neighbor -,the one who stole my van, the one who probably removed Jeff’s income tax refunds from the mailbox and has taken several packages

They are really bad people

Will be going to Verizon to change number. It’s a rather inexpensive phone from Walmart and prepaid service via Verizon

If anyone has any ideas to help it would be appreciated. Sheriff Dept doesn’t seem to want to begin any investigation.
