Why Are So Many Pushing for America to Have a Hot War with Russia?
American Thinker ^ | March 28, 2024 | Al Bienenfeld

The mistakes of the Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars appear lost on many. Today, we hear stirring calls to arms against Russia from a totally corrupt and dangerous media supporting a rogue American regime. Unfortunately, several establishment Republicans stand in support. Senators Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham are at the forefront of the Republican establishment’s support for confronting Russia. I would include Senators John Cornyn and John Thune in the mix, along with House members like Dan Crenshaw and, certainly, former House member Liz Cheney.

Even if the United States were to win such a war on the battlefield, we would lose. At best, it would be a Pyrrhic victory.

###

In a war with Russia, American soldiers will be forced to fight with horrendous casualties. When this happens, Americans will relive the Vietnam War.

Also, as our Afghan withdrawal displayed, we have no Pentagon leadership. That leadership will also direct a war against Russia. Moreover, today’s woke military will not fare well against battle-hardened Russian troops. Many fighters have been forced out because of their Judeo-Christian values. Others are gone for refusing to surrender their right not to take an experimental vaccine that has unknown efficacy and side effects. Woke troops will not get the job done.

###

Moreover, a war with Russia would be worse than the Vietnam quagmire. People alive then remember that the war so badly damaged our nation’s society that all faith in government and the inherent belief in the moral fiber of our society was wiped out for almost 20 years. President Reagan restored it.

We fougth the Vietnam war as if it were WW2. It wasn’t and the French troops on the ground as well as the Brits new how to “win” an insurgency.

The “problem” is that very few have the stomach for winning an insurgency/counter insurgency conflict.

Also the communist infiltration of the media, educational and state department guaranteed that we would never “win”....

The pendulum will swing, hopefully like the politicians and communists will at the end of a rope. Trump isn’t the proble for them... he’s a symptom. All it’s going to take is some spark for the 1960s to start again.

Either is applicable.

"They must not have grown up during the cold war."

I was born in '47, and although I didn't live near any military bases, fear of nuclear war was instilled in us all the time. That's all anyone talked about in the 50's. I can remember our air raid drills at school. We had no windowless basement to go to. We sat along the walls in the hall at school, which had windows along the outside wall, and at the end. I'd sit there looking out the window, waiting for the drone of airplanes bringing the bombs to kill us. They did have us a bit traumatized back then, and it was done deliberately, just like they fed us the BS about Covid.

All those people who support Biden on Ukraine, need to ask themselves, is Ukraine worth the U.S. being nuked by Russia today? Is any foreign country worth destroying this country over? What part of that don't these Ukraine supporters understand? Many of them cry that Putin won't stop once he has Ukraine. Well, who gives a crap? I don't. I care about this country's survival, not some European craphole that can't defend itself, and hasn't bothered to even build up their own security. Why does this country always have to bail out those that will not protect themselves?

Sadly, there are some here who claim to have lived during the Cold War, but haven't yet woke up to the fact that we aren't the policemen of the world, who need to be responsible when a foreign country is weak or corrupt, and can't, or won't fight its own battles. In the case of Ukraine, that's Europe's problem, and it's time they stepped up, instead of expecting the U.S. to take the lead on everything. We can't afford to do that anymore, without it severely effecting the stability and economy of this country. President George Washington in his farewell address told us to avoid entangling alliances with foreign countries. He was right then, and he's still right today.

Well, boom goes London,
And boom Paris.
More room for you
And more room for me.
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town.
Oh, how peaceful it’ll be;
We’ll set everybody free;
You’ll have Japanese kimonos, baby,
There’ll be Italian shoes for me.
They all hate us anyhow,
So let’s drop the big one now.
Let’s drop the big one now.

"I know of no one who wants the U.S. to go to war with Russia. Rather, they are many who want us to give as much material support to Ukraine so that they can fight the war without us."

And haven't we fought enough proxy wars against Russia already. They've been going on since the Korean War. It's time it ended.

And the warmongers are backed by those in Congress ...

Ukraine is the center of world corruption. They are involved in drugs, human trafficking, bio weapons, adrenicrome and I suppose many more criminal activities.

I’m right here... Not “pro-Nation building”/Globo-cop/Military Industrial BS... But REAL war...

They bloody our noses, we end them. Rebuild? Sure... Here’s some stock options and private contractors you can pay...

Is that good enough for you? Or do we need to suffer through more endless decades of mealy mouthed limp wristed beta-male BS before we start acting like a World Power again?

More BoomerCon Bravado, delusions and copes.

Instead of dragging NATO into another NeoCon failed war, how about showing the USA can defeat a terrorist group and keep the Suez Canal open ?

” Please show us the quotes of those pushing for a hot war with Russia.

The problem is that the West is not willing to take the L when Ukraine is defeated. They could just realize that Russia has won, and try to make the best of it.

Instead, they are warning they will escalate:

Step One: get the Hell out of NATO.

It's the Russians that have sought peace repeatedly since the illegal coup we fomented in Ukraine set off a civil war there in 2014 -- with the Minsk Accords, which Ukraine reneged on, before the present war started in 12/21 when the Russians came to use with their security concerns and in Turkey two years, where a peace deal was killed by Boris Johnson.

This a proxy war the Biden regime wanted to make happen and has done everything it can to continue.

Ukraine is toast. They’d better negotiate a ceasefire. NATO has been pushing buttons for a long time. We’re not always the good guys. We should mind our own yards more often.

On that we can agree. NATO had it’s day and should go away. Same for the Useless Notions.

Apparently there are many things the U.S. still imports from Russia as of the end of last year. With over $4 Billion in fertilizers, inorganic chemicals, isotopes, precious stones and metals topping the list.

Ukraine’s fate depends in large part on the level of NATO and US support. Ukraine is the victim of a Russian attack and merits that help. Russia is the aggressor and in no sense “the good guys.”

However, once they started invading peaceful nearby countries with the intention of expanding their territory.

Fairy tale. Ukraine has been persecuting ethnic Russians for years. Putin tried numerous ways to end the hostility but was rebuffed. Russia is protecting its own. Ukraine is corrupt to the core.
