They say these things as if they are true. However, there is literally no population of men and women with healthy, naturally functioning reproductive systems on which to do a study.

It is a sad comment that couples will not work with the Big Bamboo as a first choice, and go directly to in vitro. It does not sound American at all.
Some men and women have fertility problems. If they are a straight married couple I wish them well with it.
Not much fun, is it?
I would never be critical of couples who choose to bring new life into the world however that happens.
And some couples have multiple miscarriages.

I would be very critical of people who make “extra” babies to keep frozen in liquid nitrogen ... in case some of them don’t work out.
I would be very critical of people who implant more than one baby, and then “selectively reduce” the “excess” ...
And I would be extremely critical of people who view babies as a commodity.
