‘I want a fighter’: Donald Trump Jr. lobbying dad to pick one of these possible running mates

Donald Trump Jr. is lobbying his father to select a running mate who can take a punch — and hit back even harder, he told The Post.

“What I want in that role is I want a fighter,” Trump Jr. said. “I understand what they are going to throw at us.

“In 2016 you needed someone to balance out [the ticket] — that’s where Mike Pence made sense, sort of the yin and yang, but [given] the vicious nature of the swamp and the insanity we see on a daily basis, you need someone who can take those hits,” said Trump Jr., 46, the oldest of the former president’s five children.

The former first son — who speaks to his father daily, often several times a day — said he’s been pushing people like Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio); Vivek Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur and former GOP presidential candidate; and Tucker Carlson

Exotic Dune 2 spice runs through Vivek, Rubio, Gabbard, Cruz, and others...including, also, Don Jr. himself, rendering them all VPOTUS-ineligible.

The 70 percent or so U.S. American citizens who need no U.S. statute or nineteenth century Constitutional amendment to demonstrate their citizenship—why can’t we find our POTUS and VPOTUS candidates from that cohort, and ignore or snuff out this foreign obsession?

Showing once again how poor Trumps are in picking people and just how green DJT jr is.

Don Jr. is right about picking a fighter.

“Rubio is another solid pick, despite once joining the Gang of 8 amnesty fools.”

He didn’t just join the amnesty gang, he was a ring leader. He is owned by the biggest open borders k St immigration lawyer, Cesar Conda.

He’s a trojan horse for invasion.

I think, overall, Sarah Sanders is the best choice.

MAGA-loyal.

Will bring in some female voters.

Tough, no-nonsense, battle-hardened.

DC experience.

Media savvy.

Executive experience.

Knows how to win an election.

Trump-Sanders 2024. Clean house down to the studs. Make America Great Again.

” has to be A heart beat away from the Presidency it has to be someone ready to hit the ground running. Like Rand Paul.”

That’s my choice but we need him in the Senate. He should be head of the Senate.

My source of about 2 - 3 weeks ago is J Vance , it’s his for the taking , see my previous posts. I have a very special source

Why can’t president trump run on a platform of removing the USA from the United Nations? Saving over 10 billion per year I read somewhere

10 billion !!!!!! 🚨

Money could be used for housing and infrastructure in Detroit , Chicago , Baltimore , New York , San Francisco, cleaning up the mess done by democrats and helping out the black community!!!

Kamala was a treat pick for Joe because no one would dare to impeach Joe if it means Kamala becomes the POTUS. Kamala would do something like to send U.S. troops to assist Hamas in Gaza.

Pick Vivek Ramaswamy and be done with it. Then focus on beating Biden.

I remain in favor of Gov. Abbott. The border is the issue this year, rightly so. He’s out front on that issue and he has executive experience. Plus he checks the handicap box.

Close to zero.

Yep, that’s the worry: that this ultraconservative shtick of his is just a shtick. When he wrote for National Review years ago, he seemed like a moderate conservative to me.

We need to think beyond Trump years. We need someone who can continue with the MAGA movement after Trump’s four year term .

I would like to see someone who can add some more masculinity and strength to the team to support the President .

(Sorry, ladies but I don’t think VP is a DIE position. )

The next four years are going to be rough going and we will need
all the tough love we can muster.

J D Vance is looking better every day to me.

I like a lot of what Tucker Carlson says, but I can’t get excited about him as a VP. I have a gut feeling about how loyal he would be.
