I think I’m losing it, but I am starting think that he may have a chance. No one with the kind of firepower aimed at him would continue like this unless they had a decent chance of beating the charges.

The Supreme Court has already ruled in his favor in the McDonnell case. Unless the prosecutor can name an “official act” sold by Menendez for a bribe, an acquittal on the bribery charge is likely. That’s why they are piling on any charges they can think of, hoping something sticks.
