New York Attorney General takes initial step to prepare to seize Trump assets

(CNN) — The New York attorney general’s office has filed judgments in Westchester County, the first indication that the state is preparing to try to seize Donald Trump’s golf course and private estate north of Manhattan, known as Seven Springs.

State lawyers entered the judgments with the clerk’s office in Westchester County on March 6, just one week after Judge Arthur Engoron made official his $464 million decision against Trump, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization.

(snip)

Judgments have not been entered in Florida counties including Miami or Palm Beach where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property and the Trump National Doral Golf Club and resort are located or Cook County, Illinois, where Trump’s hotel in Chicago is located, according to a review of records Thursday by CNN.

Whitler would allow her to seize any assets that President Trump has in Michigan.

Do these people do not understand the concept of “a bridge too far”?

If the Powers That Be do not rein these ideologues in, the flight of capital from America’s premiere city shall make the ravages of the Great Depression seem to be child’s play compared to the devastation that will be visited upon the Eastern seaboard, as the money centers will relocate in Florida and Texas. Boston, Philadelphia, and Baltimore-Washington will be swept up in the same maelstrom.

See Post #9. The NY mutant AG is likely going to take extra care to keep this case out of the Federal courts.

She’s gonna get the hotel, fill it with illegals and trash it. Trump will win appeal and then sue NY for damages - 3-5X. Looks like Central Park will be Trump Park soon. (It could happen…..)

That's what I'm thinking--the minute a claim is made in a different state, it will end up in front of the Supreme Court.

And then, the fecal matter hits the spinning fan.

“I suspect she can’t seize anything outside of NY because: (1) she has no legal authority to enforce anything in another state, and (2) she might even be subject to criminal prosecution in another state.”

There are procedures to enforce a “foreign” judgement (i.e from another state), they vary from state to state. Texas procedure is pretty straightforward but as to be followed down to the last detail or is is subject to challenge. I have no ides about Florida.

After Le’Tit’ia (sp?) tries to claim Trump Tower, she will have to deal with the squatter’s rights of so many already occupying it. She will be arrested if she tries to take it, or so I have read. It will be a long wait for her and her minions.

Trump Tower is a condominium, meaning the other tenants in the building OWN their residences. Exactly what power does this”person” have to evict these people for migrants?

But Trump was found guilty of overstating the value of his properties. Why isn't Letilia going after ALL of Trump's properties, which she would need to do in order to add up to the amount of the fine based on hers and the Judge's valuations of Trump properties.

Are they now saying that Trump didn't overstate the value of his investments?

Isn't that considered a "foreign" judgement?

There's going to be some due process remedies for President Trump.

I expect as well to see an uptick in assassinations of political and judicial bad actors.

Hey CNN? Are you admitting that Mar-a-Lago is indeed worth what Trump claimed then?

Correct - the State can't simply evict tenants or sub-tenants without due process, regardless of what the MSM claims.
