Half of Haley voters in Ohio say they'd back Biden: Preliminary exit polls

Two in 10 to as many as three in 10 Republican primary voters in Ohio continue to resist Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy -- and among those supporting Nikki Haley, half say they’d back Joe Biden in November, according to preliminary exit poll results from the Republican primary.

While majorities in preliminary exit poll data express loyalty toward Trump, the extent of intraparty challenges may matter in what’s expected to be a close contest in November. Despite his having sewn up the nomination, 21% of Ohio GOP primary voters would be dissatisfied with Trump as the nominee, 24% say he lacks the temperament to serve effectively, and 29% say he wouldn’t be fit for office if convicted of a crime.

“Have you ever heard Trump tell the story about the old woman and the snake?...”

I guess I never heard the story. Have you heard the story about the GOP presidential nominee losing Georgia for the first time since 1992?

Ohio’s primaries are partially open, allowing voters to pick which party’s ballot they wish to vote with, although they will be registered with that party for the next two years.

It was the 2004 Governor’s race. Republicans did help McCaskill win the primary against Holden, but Matt Blunt beat McCaskill in the general election. McCaskill became a senator in 2006 when she ran against Jim Talent. Both easily won their primaries; McCaskill won the general election. In the 2012 senate race, Democrats voted for Todd Akin in the Republican primary because he was the weakest candidate. Akin won the primary but was beaten by Claire McCaskill in the general election. Fortunately, Josh Hawley beat McCaskill in 2018.

ABC News hopium is strong, but their fear overshadows them.
PDJT needs 100m votes, even then I’m not sure he can overcome the cheat.
Remember, all the bad actors, both DNC and RINOs, are still in place.

Why was that ever made that way to begin with? (Open primary)
What possible advantage does that confer to Republicans? I see only disadvantages.
How impossibly difficult is it to change to a closed primary instead? Not just Ohio, but all US states that have open Republican primaries. Have we not considered it because it is an advantage to GOPee uniparty Rommney type Republican lite types?
Perhaps along with GOTV efforts and ballot harvesting, we should also CLOSE all the open Republican primaries?

That means open.
Closed means you have already been registered and listed as being in a particular party.

My thought is that Republicans would prefer to not lead, but follow & be seen as the underdog, purely for fundraising benefits. In addition, it helps weed out the interlopers of the party, such as a Donald John Trump.

They probably would vote for Biden as there is not much difference between Haley and Biden.
