Does the narrative in the mainstream press seem to be subtly shifting from Ukraine will win with enough money and weapons to with enough steady money and weapons, Ukraine will be kept from being defeated? How can money and weapons keep Ukraine from being defeated in a war of attrition that they cannot possibly succeed at by the numbers?
What is being missed here? Perhaps the US can continue supplying borrowed money and a slowing flow of weapons to Ukraine in a losing effort to keep the war going; Our military industrial complex will grow rich from selling the weapons. What is Western Europe’s benefit to depleting their finances and even more limited weapons stocks by giving them to Ukraine? For years to come? Does Western Europe also stay beholden to their own military industrial complex, complete with corruption and kickbacks? Trying to understand any logic here other than greedy motives and utter lack of caring for lives lost on both sides here.
