Denver property owners are being asked to rent to migrants

Property owners in Denver are being asked to rent their places out to migrants as the Colorado city shuts down four public-run shelters.

The Mile High City’s migrant services issued an email this week to property owners in the area seeking assistance in housing the city’s “newcomers” to get them out of shelters and into more stable housing.

“We put out a feeler to all the landlords we have connections with,” Jon Ewing from Denver Human Services told KDVR. “Basically said, listen, we’re going to have some newcomers who are going to need housing.”

The department’s email gauged the rental owners’ interest in opening their listings to the city’s migrants, but at a budget.

“We’ve got kind of a rent cap — $2,000,” Ewing added.

Anyone who asks to do repairs in exchange for a reduction in rent (we’ve gotten this several times) - Absolutely NOT.

In keeping what seems to be specified in the Constitution, we really should have free elections in our country, but at the same time, I can see where banning the Democrat Party from ever showing their faces again might be called for. There needs to be a completely re-organized democrat Party or something similar as they have just about ruined what was once a wonderful country.

But I just heard Joe himself say that he will protect us from enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Never owned any rental property & at this later stage in life, I don’t intend to. I have worked with rental owners however & know how that goes. Renting to illegals would be doubly crazy & I don’t think anyone in their right mind would do that; particularly with a third-party payee. Just getting your rental paid could be the major problem, but not the only one. A damage deposit for about the total price of the property would probably be the best way to go if you should seriously consider a project like this.

Yep.

Anyone who is living in a motel/hotel
Anyone who applies to your places constantly any time there is an opening (unstable).
