Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters is standing by policies affecting the transgender community in state schools following the death of 16-year-old Nex Benedict, which has resulted in increasing calls for his removal from office.
"To make sure that all individuals are safe in a school, we want every student to be protected, we want every student to be successful," Walters told ABC News in an interview Tuesday. "That also means we're not going to lie to students. And we're not going to push a gender ideology."
However, an open letter is calling for Walters' immediate removal from office for, the letter claims, "fostering a culture of violence and hate against the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Oklahoma schools." The letter is signed by about 350 local, state, and national organizations.

When a person has or maintains a false belief or judgment about overt and objective external reality, and holds such views in defiance despite unquestionable authentication to the contrary, clinicians and therapists appropriately describe this as delusion and reflective of some form of mental disorder.
Delusions are beliefs that are plainly untrue and that indicate an abnormality in the affected person’s content of thought.
More problematic is these individuals are positively assured that the delusion is real.

It would be nice if a few school systems would start pushing things like math, science, and English. Good to hear some push-back from at least one source.
“Protecting” trannys does a disservice to everyone else. The kids will have to stand up to this as the adults seem to be afraid of being called names.

One thing I’m sure of: OK high school freshman never even heard of the state superintendent. Another thing: if the state superintendent ever said anything, no high school kid would even notice.
Exactly! That would include the fact the deceased was the instigator of the bathroom incident and is on school video of walking, escorted by the SRO, to the office for transportation to medical attention. Further facts include video of a lucid conversation with authorities while in the emergency room where it was decided no further medical attention was required. The only fact yet to be known is the result of toxicology lab tests of samples from the deceased.
Just because someone has declared themselves to be “non-binary” while insisting everyone else must participate in that delusion does not establish a prima facie case of a hate crime.
Adding the “2S” makes them even MORE better than you, virtue-wise, don’cha know...

Has the final autopsy report been released yet? The preliminary report said direct trauma was not the cause. If it had been a brain bleed, it would be known by now. I guess they’re either waiting on the toxicology report, or they want to bury the real cause of death.

Authorities are awaiting the full results of the autopsy and toxicology reports for more insight into the circumstances surrounding the teen’s death. The state medical examiner’s office will determine the final cause and manner of death.

Bullsh!t. Nobody with any information said that Benedict was “assaulted”.
It’s been weeks since Benedict’s death. And yes, a preliminary autopsy WAS released. It showed that Benedict DID NOT die from physical trauma:
