Wow, thanks for that broad brush
Fitzpatrick's district is purple/leaning blue right now, and he is straddling the line to keep himself safely in power. Mixed levels of middle class white & blue collar sprinkled with bored suburban Karens and "Hate has No Home" types commuting to NY. Recent large influx of Hispanics into the "section 8" set-aside community & many Ukrainians (& Russians?) in the nicer areas
I'm sure some percentage of his votes come from people who still think he's his (deceased) brother & he actually seems proud of the crappy voting record he has within "his" party. I've written and called many times about this, but get blah-blahs about representing "all of us".
He has recently been making noise about being "tough on the border" issue, but otherwise total squish who is safely ensconced because the Dems are fine with him.
Don’t take it personally — I didn’t mean the district was ONLY liberal scum, just a majority. :-)
Compared to the other suburban Philly districts, it’s a positively conservative bastion (which isn’t saying much), just as Bucks County as a whole is superior to MontCo, ChesCo & DelCo. Montgomery and Delaware should be declared as disaster areas and totally written off, at least politically.
The late Michael Fitzpatrick was several light years away from being a conservative, but compared to his brother he was Jesse Freakin’ Helms. At least he never forgot which party he belonged to.
In his defense, though it still doesn’t justify prioritizing the corrupt Democrat regime in Ukraine over the situation here in America, the district as it was when Michael was first elected in 2004 was not as loony left as it is now though it was not a LOT better by any means.
