I don’t want Nikki Haley to drop out of the race. Every minute she spends in this race is just another reminder to independents and Democrats about what they always had in common with grassroots Republican voters over the last 20 years: total disdain for the GOP establishment.

Trump won in 2016 on the strength of this coalition of voters.

I don’t, it’s a huge waste of resources. I think what Nikki really is, has been shown sufficiently.

Good post.

There are advantages to Nikki staying in the race—and folks here do not consider them as much as appropriate.

If you look at polling numbers like a hawk (I raise my hand :-) ) you will notice that President Trump’s primary support has gone up in the past couple of months. Hillary oops Haley screeching reminds Republican why they need him.

As to the general election—those polling numbers are all over the place—but at a minimum there is no evidence her bomb throwing campaign has hurt President Trump in any way.
