When the Russian army mounted a full-scale invasion two years ago, Ukrainian men zealously rushed to recruitment centers across the country to enlist, ready to die in defense of their nation.
Today, with Russia in control of roughly one-quarter of Ukraine and the two armies virtually deadlocked along a 1,000-kilometer (620-mile) front line, that spirit to enlist has faded: Many Ukrainian men are evading the draft by hiding at home or trying to bribe their way out of the battle.
Along the frigid and muddy front line, commanders say their army is too small and made up of too many exhausted and wounded soldiers. As the war enters its third year, the most urgent and politically sensitive challenge pressing on Ukraine is whether it can muster enough new soldiers to repel an enemy with far more fighters at its disposal.

A lady in front of me in the checkout line was violent in saying we MUST support Ukraine in every way possible. I was in a mean mood and told her that I hoped her grandsons will be sent there to the front lines. She ended the conversation. I truly believe our kids eventually will be sacrificed there to ensure the smooth money laundering operation to benefit the DC pols, especially the Biden Crime Family.
(Maybe ICE can start rounding up illegals and, instead of taking them back to the border, take them to boot camp.)

I told a liberal war hawk I know, during a conversation about Ukraine, that hopefully he will get to send his son there. He was appalled.

It’s time for Ukraine to stop asking the American taxpayers for Billions to keep their corrupt Ukraine Govt. afloat, and for Ukraine to sue for Peace with Russia.
If the EU wants to fund, on their own, a proxy war with their neighbor Russia, then that’s their call.

That ship sailed a long time ago. The $ isn’t just to keep Ukraine afloat. It’s also to be laundered and returned to The Biden Crime Family, et al, in DC.
