“This time it will be different.” That’s the number one rule of starry-eyed liberals. Sure, socialism has failed in the past. And those failures were always accompanied by great suffering.

Excellent point. Always before, socialism failed only because they didn’t have the “right enlightened people” implementing it ... a combination of denying reality and denying human nature.
