A lot of people who live in the “Beverly Hills of Arizona” flee in the summertime to Prescott AZ, a nice retirement community in the northern mountains with temperate weather.
Whole lotta fleeing going on...
Most of the snowbirds return to their summer homes at some lake in Minnesota or Ohio etc. Fly in at the middle of October, Fly out the middle of May.
We’ve stayed in Prescott last couple years for a week. Last year we left 60 degree weather in Omaha to go to Prescott and 8” of snow. Place we rented got us a snow shovel so I could shovel a path to our rental car because we didn’t have winter coats or snow shoes. Drove to the Grand Canyon & they had a sign recommending wearing crampons. We were slipping on 6” snow that got pummeled into ice.
