On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that under our current system, immigration hasn’t been positive for the U.S. and the reaction of sanctuary cities to having migrants bused to them shows this.
Maher began by saying that “some immigration” is “the lifeblood of this country.”
Later in the segment, CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama Adviser Van Jones stated, “Immigration is good for America. It’s positive for America.”

That will still cost us hundreds of billions of dollars. Deport them! A quick perfunctory hearing and you’re on a plane back to Mexico.
Bill Maher gets it right...at least partially right...yet again.
Maher has been smokin’ a lot of dope lately. Not sure he knows what he says most of the time.
Legal immigration is great for the US.
It’s the illegals flow with fentanyl, trafficking of girls to be used for rape and prostitution, and turning so many people into felons that is especially bad.
He is just complaining that it affects him.

My Paternal Great Grandparents came here after “The Great Hunger” ...An Gorta Mor. It was not a “famine” ... plenty of food, absentee landlords-Brits shipped it out.
My Maternal Grandparents came here through Ellis Island. “Pa” came here twice: 1906 and 1911. First time, he work the copper mines in Anaconda, Montana. He returned to Ireland and landed the second time in Boston (Charlestown, Hoosac Piers) disembarking a White Star Line Ship, the SS Zealand.
As told to me by his daughter, my Ma, he was “Naturalized” in 1922. He was a Proud American, who refused to call himself an “Irish-American.” Pa told his nine kid: “We’re ‘Americans’ who happen to be of ‘Irish Lineage.’” I am ever grateful for my ascendants’ journey here as I have been able to reap the benefits of our wonderfully Blessed Nation. God Save The Republic!
