During the Mao era in China there was a period when Africans were urged to attend schools in China. The problem was that the Chinese are racist themselves and did not welcome their semi-literate visitors. By the end of the 1960s the program was phased out (as was Chinese investment in Africa).

I'm not literate in Mandarin. Most languages seem to have forms spoken by the well educated and other forms spoken by the lower class illiterates. Does Mandarin have its own form of "Ebonics"?
