What was that about? Damn.

Wade conferred with the White House there and submitted billing for it. No one is saying she went on that trip. That situation is a whole ‘nother ball game for another place and time ...

Her cash amount jumps all over the place, but she also seems to say that she doesn’t take cash out of the bank. Doesn’t need to — she has cash at home. But the cash amount changes so much ... where it come from?
She keeps bragging about how much cash she keeps at home. So if something happens she’ll blame these proceedings and say she was exposed by these racists attorneys.
There are laws regarding government officials accepting gifts of more than nominal amounts. There are exceptions regarding foreign officials in a diplomatic context, or for general business politeness during initial visits, etc. These have to be reported.
In her case, she testified that she did not consider Wade as an employee, so anything that Wade paid for that would have been her own expense is a gift for these purposes. The law doesn't mention specific items over $100, it mentions "in the aggregate" over a period of time over $100.
Willis accepted gifts from Wade in the aggregate over $100 regardless of whether she paid it back a minute later, a day later, or a month later.
A public official like a District Attorney just doesn't operate that way. I expect at some point that Willis will fall back on an ignorance defense, despite bragging about being a "chief county judge" at one point.
