What’s really amazing is that Sunny Hostin is just one of the multitudes of Americans today who have this shallow and superficial understanding of history, as well as of human nature.
The history of now.
All NFL and NBA players are victims.
Comments, Spencer & Solzhenitsyn BUMP!
Ha ha! You beat me to it! He's a self righteous little pug and it was fun to witness the sobering slap to his face.
I love this show because I'm adopted and only body now learning my own lineage. My pasty white butt has African ancestry, so now I play that race card wherever possible to drive my wife crazy. 😎
“Just the colonization of other people. I’m surprised that they were enslavers...”
The Spanish tried using the Indians as slaves, but they ran away or died. So they used Africans who couldn’t run away and had the immunity of Old World diseases the Indians lacked.
The slaves were sent to where money could be made and that was from the cultivation of sugar cane and that was primarily in what is now Latin America including the Caribbean. Only a small percentage were sent to the less profitable English colonies.
“I just always thought of myself as half Puerto Rican. I didn’t think my family was originally from Spain...” So I suppose she missed the part of her history lessons where Puerto Rico was a Spanish colony for many years.
People who obsess on race are racists. That includes ALL racists. So when we claim that Barack Obama (50%) Tiger Woods (25%) Kamala Harris (?? but < 50%) are black, is this not racism just like the Jim Crow laws? The media plays this game with the American people to divide and conquer. Over 620,000 Americans lost their lives in the great war to abolish slavery. So with the popular logic, are not all those who lost people in the Civil War eligible for reparations?
