It is a election year.
To fight this they will 1. hammer on Trump and the Republicans for defeating the recent immigration bill which they claim would have stopped this massive immigration (yeah, right, but that will be their claim).
2. Stage some photo ops on the border. Maybe build a mile of Potemkin fence and show some sad Mexicans on the other side, or even round up a thousand (a few hours of allowed illegals under the proposed bill) illegals and deport them.
3. Criticize sanitary cities, but blame their problems on Governors Abbot and Desantis busing a small fraction of the illegals that federally funded NGOs shipped in.
They want the immigrants -legal, illegal or any other type. They just want to quiet the anger about them. Witness how long they held onto the eleven million illegals number no matter how many came in because polling dropped once they hit ten million.
