Trump Planning to ‘Flip’ New York Amid Illegal Immigrant Crisis
Herald/Review ^ | 02/05/2024 | Aldgra Fredly

Former President Donald Trump said he plans to give New York “a heavy shot” in his campaign, as he believes there is potential to “flip” traditionally Democratic-leaning states in the general election. *** “Do I think we have a chance? New York has changed a lot in the last two years. We have migrants all over the street. They are living on Madison Avenue. Nobody can believe what’s happened to New York,” he said.

President Trump said he believes Democratic strongholds such as New York, where he claimed people are “unhappy” because crime rates have hit “record levels,” can be “flipped” in the general election.

“The people of New York are angry. People that would have never voted for me because I’m a Republican. I mean they’re Democrats … I think they’re going to vote for me. So, I think we’re going to give New York a heavy shot,” the former president said.

“The other thing is, and very importantly, New Jersey. I think New Jersey can be flipped. I think that Virginia can be flipped. I think that New Mexico could be flipped. And I think Minnesota could be flipped. And I’m not even sure that everything can’t be flipped,” he added.

New York, the most populous city in the United States, has struggled to contend with the arrival of over 120,000 illegal immigrants in the past year.

*** A Sienna College poll published last year shows that more than 80 percent of registered voters in New York view the recent influx of illegal immigrants as a “serious problem.”

Meanwhile, about 51 percent of New Yorkers said they disapprove of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s efforts in handling the influx.

“Voters disapprove of the job that Hochul is doing to address the influx 51-35 percent. They disapprove of the job Mayor Eric Adams is doing 47-31 percent.

“And they disapprove of the job the Biden administration is doing 59-34 percent,” Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg said in a statement.

Mr. Greenberg stated that, for the first time in a Siena College poll, a higher percentage of New Yorkers now hold an unfavorable view of President Joe Biden compared to those who view him favorably.

The 2022 governor’s race was 53% to 47%....closer than normal and much closer than California governor results.

But if he even makes it competitive, it would siphon away so much resources it would make the Dem mount less effective attacks in some of the other competitive states.

They wont spend anything in NY or CA. They’ve got the cities and nothing else will matter. Even if they had to cheat there are so many people there it would be easy. NM, NJ, VA. You can at least have the discussion. By discussion i mean, maybe you can get them to spend money there, not that he’ll win them. Can Yongkin help? Would he even want to help?

Repukes are hated. Im not sure that’s a valid test. Trump is different. Not saying he’ll win or even be competitive there but some wishy washy gool running for the house does not mean anything when discussing Trump snd what he can do to the electorate

Elise is a member of the house. She’s probably not known at all in the state. Also, the idea that choosing a woman helps get the womens vote is absurd. It’s probably more of a repellent. Women are very jealous of other women. Maybe shes unattractive enough that women won’t find her threatening but who knows

“Trump Planning to ‘Flip’ New York Amid Illegal Immigrant Crisis”

############################

Likely a head fake designed to get Democrats to use more resources there.

During my lifetime there have only been three Republican governors of New York. They were all Rockefeller Republicans.

In a fair election he probably would. But the deep state has too much cheating experience in NY for him to overcome.

Trump has < 1% chance of winning NY

Only because of vote fraud. If a critical mass of the cheaters are sick of Biden and can be convinced to cheat for either Kennedy or Trump, the Donald could actually win the state.

That's how successful the Democrats are at turning our cities into liberal welfare cesspools.

It's less that they're turning out anything. It's more that the Democrat activists look at how many folks didn't bother to vote and then cast votes on behalf of those people at 2 AM on election night. That's what "turn out" actually means.

Sununu is probably the one of the most libertarian governor in the nation. As a Goldwater and Thomas Sowell fan, that is a positive. However, outside the confines of my mind, I don’t think his presence on the ticket would move the needle.

Since the DC Appeals Court just denied President Trump immunity, saying he is no longer president, therefore, no immunity.

I was wondering if it would occur to Trump that he could sue Obummer for trying to accuse Trump of the Russia, Russia, Russia Fiasco lawsuit.

And it would be great if Trump could FLIP NY.

Netanyahu would take care of the cartels and the Mexican border problem in very short order. Too bad he’s not on any state ballots. Since not being a naturally-born U.S. citizen and running for office at the same time no longer is any kind of impediment.

Trump has < 1% chance of winning NY. . .

He had a zero chance of winning in 2016.

I think all predictions should be off the table for now. New York City has been so destroyed by illegals in the past year that the citizens are in shock: urine, feces, carjackers, public murders, cops getting attacked, gangs, and drugs everywhere, all at once--all acknowledged to be due to illegals. They didn't think such a disaster was possible.

The Democrats here are suddenly competing with each other (in speech, anyway) for how tough they are on fentanyl and illegal immigration. It shows how terrified they are of the wrath of New Yorkers who threaten to become awake instead of woke.

When New Yorkers get so pissed that you force them to think about politics, they get REALLY pissed.
