Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the shocking decision to recommend Republicans block the advancement of the Senate pro-migration border bill.
That first procedural vote was set for Wednesday. It is unknown if Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will forge ahead

Leaked details of the secretive deal, which McConnell’s chosen Republican lead negotiator Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) and other allies denied, were confirmed Sunday upon the bill’s release. The overwhelming opposition led to McConnell altering his plan Monday night.
Even Lankford, who continued championing the deal leading up to Monday night’s Senate Republican Conference meeting, would not say after the meeting if he would vote to move forward Wednesday on the deal he negotiated,

It's also time McConnell got the message -- no more money for Ukraine and that the budget deficit must start going down significantly.
Here is my guess as to what has happened. It is all about Israel funding. Maga Republicans said NO to Ukraine funding. Then the Uniparty tied Israel and border funding to Ukraine because they knew that is what the Maga players wanted. Then McConnell gets Lankford and Sinema to write the bill, figuring they would be expendable for the Uniparty. Speaker of the House proposes a stand alone funding bill for Israel, and Biden says he will veto it. The Uniparty releases a horrible bill, knowing no one will pass it, thus torpedoing the Border and Israel Bills. Then he comes back with a reduced standalone Ukraine funding bill, say 30 billion. Everyone is happy, and McConnell gets rid of Lankford and Sinema.
Meet the new bill, same as the old bill.
How about just "Current laws enforcement Authorization Act"
Already in the budget and funded. Sometimes less is more.
Trump, with all his ego and sometimes childish behavior, is still the best president since WW-II. He actually tries hard to get things done which he promised.

It’s a head fake. By putting this ridiculous bill out there first, they can then put a slightly better but still terrible bill up next, then say the republicans are being unreasonable.
Wash, rinse, repeat. They do this head fake trick all the time. Meanwhile the compliant media will play their role in reinforcing the next version to be impossible to block because it satisfies everyone.
They must think we are a bunch of morons. Well, for a large swath of the population, that’s true.
Once again, the only thing that should be in this bill is to cancel all funding to help the illegals then start immediately deporting all illegals. Any who don’t self deport in 30 days can never come back legally. Re-implement the “Remain in Mexico” policy and turn away all those liars who cry hardship. Oh, and here’s the big thing, the anchor baby loophole must be closed. It was never meant to be abused like this.

I’d like to flatter and commend your keen predictive abilities, but that is the exact same routine they have played since at least 1986. “Amnesty” today, “border security” tomorrow. I hope and pray they (most?) die in a fire, meteor strike, Old Testament smiting, etc I’m not really too picky. Worthless bastards ain’t worth a bucket of piss.
