Alex Mooney announces 1.6 million cash-on-hand following third quarter of 2023
CHARLES TOWN, WV. – Today, Alex Mooney’s Senate campaign announced that it has over $1.7 million cash-on-hand. During the fourth quarter, the Mooney campaign and Mooney affiliated committees together raised $577,430. The total cash-on-hand for the fourth quarter puts Mooney well on his way to defeating Liberal Jim Justice and electing the only true conservative.
“I am grateful for the continuous support our campaign has received since I launched my race for U.S. Senate. While my liberal opponent Jim Justice receives bailouts from D.C. elites and the RINO Establishment, I am honored to be funded by patriots who who want a true conservative as their U.S. Senator. As we hit the ground running in 2024, I am laser-focused on continuing the fight for all West Virginians and bringing our conservative values to the U.S. Senate,” said Congressman Alex X. Mooney.
Do I dare let my breath come out now?
I’m so tired of holding it.
Breathe easy: it’s a choice between not bad (Justice) and better (Mooney).
Do I know him?
What makes Mooney better?
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — In an early victory for a Donald Trump-endorsed candidate at the start of midterm season, Rep. Alex Mooney on Tuesday beat fellow incumbent Rep. David McKinley in West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District Republican primary.
He won the general election and now serves in the House. When Machin announced his retirement, Mooney announced a run for Manchin's seat.
I won’t say anything bad about Justice, but Mooney was endorsed by President Trump for the House last election cycle.
Okay. Thanks. I guess he just keeps a low profile.
Not a Showboat.
Okay. I love Donald John Trump, but he does have a history of standing with people he shouldn’t have. Ronna McDaniel is one that quickly comes to mind.
I actually met Alex Mooney when he was a Maryland state senator; great guy and an authentic conservative. Just after graduating from college he got a job on the staff of Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD 6). He was elected to the MD Senate from Frederick County; as I recall the ‘Rats in Annapolis changed his district’s boundaries and he got put in the same district with another GOP state senator, and Alex lost the primary.
Alex then moved 25 miles west of Frederick to Charles Town, West Virginia and won the House seat which was vacated by Shelly Moore Capito when she moved up to the Senate. WV then lost a district in the 2021 reapportionment, and he was in a GOP primary against David Underwood, who represented the northern third of WV in the House. Mooney knocked off Underwood and then won the general handily.
Like another poster said, Justice would be good but Mooney would be better.
For that reason, Mooney is probably regarded as a carpetbagger in WV
When I hear that he was redistricted out by the MD Republican’ts that tells me he is probably un-bribeable.
Sounds like a winner to me.
>Breathe easy: it’s a choice between not bad (Justice) and better (Mooney).<
That seems about right.
Had nothing but disappointments from Rs.
