It should be illegal for politicians to own stock and have family work for the defense industry.
Congressional representative stock ownership should be limited to an index fund of the entire US stock market. Certainly no individual stocks or options.
This gets problematic as the Representative could pass stock tips to family, friends, and other associates, who could find ways to funnel profits back to the Representative.
Relatives should be excluded from executive positions from companies who benefit from government contracts.
But again, this is problematic and subjective.
