Trump Prosecutor Fani Willis's Troubles Just Got Much Worse
PJ Media ^ | JANUARY 29, 2024 | Matt Margolis

The troubles for Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis just keep piling up.

The state Senate of Georgia is establishing a committee to investigate Willis for "various forms of misconduct relating to the prosecution of cases related to the 2020 Presidential Election." The investigative committee, which will be made up of six Republicans and three Democrats, will have full subpoena power and the authority to compel testimony under oath.

...

Among the misconduct the committee will investigate is the improper hiring of special assistant district attorney Nathan Wade, with whom Willis is alleged to have had an affair. This affair, which may still be ongoing, constitutes a clear conflict of interest that, according to the resolution, "establish[es] grounds for District Attorney Willis's recusal from further involvement in the prosecution, potentially delaying it indefinitely and requiring the appointment of a special prosecutor at public expense; and subject District Attorney Willis and potentially others to discipline by the State Bar of Georgia or other entities."

...

Georgia's General Assembly hasn’t impeached anyone in more than half a century, and while a successful impeachment in the House is likely, Republicans don’t have the necessary two-thirds majority in the State Senate to achieve conviction without at least a few Democrats crossing over to support it.

Hope they put Nathan Wade’s ex-wife on the stand to testify.

She is apparently furious at Willis.

Hell hath no fury....

If a White man had done what she has apparently done he’d have already been terminated and under indictment.

Looks like there’s 32 Rs and 23 Ds in the Georgia senate

That’s bouncing mighty close to the 2/3rds majority to convict

Problem is many of those Rs are Mitt Romney Rs.

If a conservative straight White man had done what she has apparently done he’d have already been terminated and under indictment.

I feel so much better now that they will be "investigating" her. And absolutely nothing will happen thereafter.

“When does this committee get started?”

According to the article, putting it together hasn’t even been completed yet.

This committee should also concern itself with any coordination with the DoJ. Bidet did proclaim his intention that Trump would never return to the WH. GA coordinating a state action with the feds would indicate conversion of federal resources for the benefit of a partisan campaign, and Willis’ conspiring to deliver State resources in the furtherance of a federal political candidate.

She is apparently furious at Willis.

From what I have read, Willis said that Joy Wade committed infidelity and that is the reason for the marriage breakup. That was a completely gratuitous statement and Joy Wade is rightfully furious.

The state Senate of Georgia is establishing a committee to investigate Willis for "various forms of misconduct relating to the prosecution of cases related to the 2020 Presidential Election."

They also need to look into her past expenditure authorizations, I'm sure this ain't the first time she tried to game the system to her benefit.

"Republicans don’t have the necessary two-thirds majority in the State Senate to achieve conviction without at least a few Democrats crossing over to support it."

Demonicrats have no problem voting for a lying murdering traitor, so there's probably little chance any Demonicrat would cross over no matter how overwhelming the evidence is against Fani.

Among the DA’s acts of misconduct the committee will investigate:
<><>Willis’ improper hiring of Nathan Wade,
<><>Willis’ alleged affair w/ the married Wade.
<><>intimacy while prosecuting constitutes a clear conflict of interest
<><>intimacy establish[es] grounds for recusal from further involvement in the prosecution,
<><>wrongdoing would potentially delay prosecution indefinitely
<><>requiring the appointment of a special prosecutor at public expense;
<><>and opens Willis and others to discipline by the Ga State Bar or other entities.

Liz Cheney checks her phone again, to find out when she will be invited to join that select Committee. “Hi, did you get my texts?
Just so The Committee knows, I AM available to participate!”

Do you notice that merely by association with some elements in the US, everything heads straight for the gutter?

They need 5 D’s to cross over. That’s 21% of the D’s in the senate. That could be a tall order.
