He’s right. All cooperation with Europeans was simply a means for the Europeans to have the US subsidize their lifestyle so they could enjoy their socialism and not have to have bear the full costs.

America not only pays for NATO, it owns and controls NATO. NATO is an extension of the American Empire. Its initial purpose was to keep Germany down and Russia out. It later waged a war of aggression against Serbia.
Its current mission includes pressuring holdout nations (e.g., Hungary) into accepting LGBT and Third World migrants, or risk becoming another Serbia.
NATO also tried to hem in Russia, leading to the Ukraine war.
NATO serves U.S. foreign policy, so naturally, we pay for it.
