Eagle Pass is today’s Fort Sumter. Biden must federalize the Texas National Guard.

The high-stakes game of Texas Hold ’em taking place on the banks of the Rio Grande between the tin soldiers of that state’s Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Border Patrol has reached a tension level that some writers and online pundits have compared to the standoff at Fort Sumter, the South Carolina outpost where the first shots of the Civil War were fired in 1861.

--- "It’s an incorrect analogy, just like Jesus was a homeless child."

Excellent point. The Left has trotted out so many scurrilous and utterly incorrect "Jesus" themes -- one I'd read called him an "unemployed carpenter" -- for ONE reason only. To sully and lie so that the gullible rubes will consider them somehow sophisticated and educated, when they are neither.

When I worked throughout Europe, in my younger years, I would get asked questions "as an American." My answer always began with "liberty" and "freedom," on which these United States were founded. Today's Democrats and RINOs cannot begin their wordy strategies with this because they actively work against liberty and resent our contunuing urge to freedom.

Best wishes.

History is chocked full of hostilities emanating from the failures of nations to prevent the mass movements of their populations across other countries’ borders. War with Mexico, in the event they ultimately decline to stop illegal emigration and accept deportations, is necessary and unavoidable.

Biden would look like an absolute idiot to send the military in to OPEN the border for Illegal immigration. The optics of that would look bad for even a large percentage of democrats. That would make headlines worldwide. He’s certainly stupid enough to try that, but I can’t believe his puppet master Obama is THAT dumb, too.

Great post! 44 years ago, I was a 26YO Army LT living in Traben-Trarbach, Germany. My German neighbors pleaded with me to vote for Carter, they were sure Reagan would start WWIII.

I countered with “the world is a safer place when America is strong.” That mantra rings true today.

That’s because you are not looking at this with idiocy being your starting point. Journalism school can help with that flaw.

"I don’t see any comparison to Fort Sumpter. None."

I do, except Abbot is the one trying to preserve the integrity of the Union.

"He will be seen as the corrupt, demented, sexually perverted puppet he is."

And he'll never be held criminally responsible for anything he's done because the Feds will claim he's so mentally challenged, that he can't understand the charges brought against him.

Barack Obama via Joe Biden, gives an ultimatum to Greg Abbott.

I’m hoping that Eagle Pass, TX will be Obama’s Armageddon.

None.

Yeah. No warships involved at all... yet.

Oddly enough, because Carter undermined the Shah of Iran and caused Iran to be run by Islamic nut-jobs who are now making nuclear weapons, it looks like Carter is the guy who started WWIII.
