They have stolen the copper out of the street lights here 5 or 6 times in the last couple years, they just replaced it all again yesterday, about a half mile. My guess is it will be stolen again within 3-4 months.
The copper was stolen from a substation in LA.
They got grounding straps.
The repairmen wouldn’t service the substation until the power was turned off.
As a result, traffic lights were off, and crashes occured. Hospitals had trouble, and more.
